What’s in it for you?

Opportunity To Unlock Your Creativity

Think of all the times you were held back from trying new ideas because you were boxed in by bureaucratic legacy processes or old school tactics. Having a growth mindset is deeply ingrained into our company culture since day 1 so Fictiv is an environment where you have the creative liberty and support of the team to try big bold ideas to achieve our sales and customer goals.

Opportunity To Grow Your Career

At Fictiv, you’ll be surrounded by supportive teammates who will push you to be your best through their curiosity and passion.

Impact In This Role

As the Senior Engineering Manager, QA at Fictiv, you will play a key techno-managerial role — combining leadership, strategy, and hands-on technical expertise to shape our QA organization. You will lead a team of more than 15 quality engineers, drive an automation-first culture, and ensure seamless integration of quality in our AWS-based CI/CD pipelines. Your leadership will be central to improving reliability, performance, and security across our web applications, APIs, and enterprise integrations.

You will report to the Director of Engineering.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build, scale, and lead a high-performing QA team focused on automation, CI/CD, and engineering excellence.
  • Drive automation-first QA strategy — minimizing manual testing while maximizing automation coverage across web, APIs, and integrations.
  • Own and evolve Cypress-based automation frameworks, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
  • Integrate testing into AWS CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy) with automated quality gates.
  • Oversee test management lifecycle using Zephyr Scale on Jira — from planning to execution and reporting.
  • Ensure quality across a complex ecosystem:
  • Web applications: Node.js, React, GraphQL, REST APIs, TypeScript, Python
  • Enterprise platforms: Salesforce, NetSuite, MuleSoft, Odoo
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams to deliver secure, scalable, high-quality releases.
  • Track, measure, and report quality KPIs (automation coverage, defect leakage, release readiness, cycle time).
  • Mentor senior QA engineers, fostering technical depth and leadership growth in the team.
  • Promote a quality engineering culture across the organization — embedding QA into the software development lifecycle, not as a checkpoint but as a partner.

Desired Traits

Must Have

  • 15–20 years of QA experience, with at least 7+ years in leadership/managerial roles.
  • Proven experience leading and scaling teams of 10+ engineers
  • Proven success in leading QA for large-scale, customer-facing SaaS/web applications.
  • Strong expertise in automation frameworks (Cypress required; Selenium, Playwright, or similar a plus).
  • Hands-on experience in testing and automating APIs (REST, GraphQL).
  • Experience integrating QA into AWS CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CloudWatch).
  • Experience testing tightly-coupled, multi-system architectures with complex interdependencies.
  • Proven expertise in B2B customer integration testing
  • Strong technical foundation in web technologies, microservices, and cloud-native architecture.
  • Track record of managing QA for enterprise platforms like Salesforce, NetSuite, MuleSoft, and Odoo.
  • Provided oversight and collaboration in release management processes.
  • Familiarity with test management tools (Zephyr Scale preferred).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Nice to Have

  • Release management experience in SaaS/enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with performance and security testing (JMeter, Gatling, OWASP).
  • Knowledge of cloud-native testing practices and test data management.
  • Prior exposure to the manufacturing industry or hardware-adjacent platforms.
  • Previous supply chain industry experience

Perks and Benefits

  • Mediclaim
  • Paid time off
  • Hybrid working
  • And much, much more!
