The Senior Systems Analyst owns the data and systems foundation of FP&A, ensuring that high-quality, well-structured and forward-looking datasets are available to support analysis, business partnering and decision-making across the Group.
The role acts as the central hub for FP&A data, integrating inputs from operational systems and teams and enabling insight without placing data-management burden on analysts or business partners.
The role also plays a key part in exploring how emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced analytics, can be applied responsibly within FP&A to enhance insight, efficiency and decision support. This includes identifying opportunities to use AI-enabled tools to automate repetitive processes, surface trends, and support more forward-looking analysis, while ensuring appropriate governance and data quality standards are maintained.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for owning and developing the data and systems ecosystem that underpins FP&A reporting and analysis across the Group. The role acts as the central point of expertise for FP&A data, integrations and reporting platforms, enabling the wider finance team to focus on insight, decision support and business partnering.
The role is highly proactive in nature, focused on identifying, integrating and exposing new datasets that enhance financial insight and decision-making. This includes working closely with teams across the business to understand their data, assess how it can be leveraged, and integrate it into Cube and related analytics platforms in a structured and scalable way.
The Senior Systems Analyst is expected to manage end-to-end data processes, from source system integration through to availability in reporting tools, and to continuously challenge and improve how FP&A data is structured, accessed and used. The role requires a high degree of independence, curiosity and technical capability, with a strong expectation that the role holder brings ideas, solutions and best-in-class practices to the table.
Key Accountabilities:
- Act as the focal point for all FP&A data, systems and integrations across the Finance function
- Own and develop data structures, models and hierarchies within the Group’s FP&A platform
- Proactively identify and integrate new data sources from across the organisation to enhance FP&A reporting and insight
- Work closely with stakeholders in Finance, HR, Marketing, Product, Operations and Technology to understand data needs and integration opportunities
- Design and manage end-to-end data processes, ensuring data flows reliably from source systems into FP&A tools
- Explore and implement innovative approaches to data integration, automation and modelling, reducing manual intervention and dependency
- Maintain and enhance reporting datasets used by the FP&A team
- Build and maintain robust documentation covering data models, integrations, processes and controls
- Ensure data is structured to support forward-looking analysis, trend analysis and scenario modelling
- Actively research and propose best-in-class tools, techniques and ways of working relevant to FP&A systems and data
- Support the effective use of analytics and visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI) within FP&A
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to apply AI and advanced analytics techniques to FP&A data and reporting, with a focus on improving insight, efficiency and scalability
- Support the use of AI-enabled tools to automate repetitive data preparation and reporting tasks, reducing manual effort across FP&A
- Enable more advanced analytical use cases (e.g. trend detection, driver analysis, scenario support) through improved data structures and modelling
- Work with Finance leadership and IT to ensure the responsible and well-governed use of AI within FP&A systems and processes
- Collaborate with colleagues to understand evolving requirements and translate these into scalable data solutions

The Senior Systems Analyst is expected to operate as a change agent within FP&A, including:

- Staying informed on emerging tools, platforms and best practices in systems and analytics
- Actively explores emerging technologies, including AI-enabled analytics and automation tools, to continuously improve FP&A systems, insight and ways of working
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in finance systems, FP&A systems, data analytics or a similar role
- Strong hands-on experience with FP&A platforms (e.g. Cube or similar planning tools)
- Experience with data querying and transformation tools (e.g. PowerQuery, Python, SQL), with the ability to leverage these in conjunction with AI-enabled tools and analytics platforms where appropriate
- Strong experience with data visualisation and analytics platforms (e.g. Power BI)
- Proven ability to integrate and model data from multiple source systems
- Strong understanding of financial and operational data structures
- Ability to manage complex, end-to-end data processes independently
- Highly analytical, with a structured and problem-solving mindset
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
Desired skills:
- Experience supporting FP&A or Finance teams in a multi-entity or international environment
- Exposure to NetSuite or other ERP systems
- Experience working with APIs, data warehouses or cloud-based data platforms
- Familiarity with data governance, controls and audit considerations
- Experience operating in environments undergoing finance or data transformation
- Exposure to AI-enabled analytics, automation or decision-support tools, and an interest in applying these responsibly within a finance and FP&A context
