You will play a crucial role in solution delivery and day-to-day technology management of the Global Automation Operations Centre (AOC) program. Reporting to the Automation Operations Manager and supporting. Automation product, platform and delivery teams worldwide, you will ensure our automation projects are well managed and supported to deliver quantifiable returns.
The AOC is chartered to support automation products delivered by the Automation & AI product team, or projects delivered by Automation delivery teams from around WPP. Our support apparatus gives those teams confidence and freedom to hand over their existing successes and continue innovating.
Are you a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a passion for technology and a strong desire to learn and grow in the field of automation & AI? We are looking for an L1 Automation Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. This entry-level role is perfect for someone eager to start their career in automation & AI support and operations, where you’ll be responsible for the initial monitoring, triage, and resolution of incidents for our RPA bots and Power Platform solutions. You’ll gain invaluable hands-on experience, working with cutting-edge technologies and collaborating with experienced engineers to ensure our global automation processes run smoothly.
What you’ll be doing:
- Dashboard Development: Design, build, and maintain visually compelling dashboards, reports, and charts specifically using Power BI.
- Insight Generation: Transform raw data into actionable insights by analyzing trends and patterns and presenting them through intuitive visualizations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand key metrics and create visual solutions that align with business objectives.
- SQL Data Preparation: Use SQL to extract, manipulate, and aggregate data fromrelational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Azure) to ensure data is clean, accurate, and properly structured for analysis.
- Query Optimization: Write and optimize SQL queries for performance and efficiency when handling large datasets.
- Data Wrangling: Perform data wrangling, transformation, and cleansing to ensure data quality and consistency across various reporting frameworks.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve visualizations based on user feedback and stay up to date with the latest trends in Power BI and SQL best practices.
- Support for Deployments: Assist in maintaining and updating visual reporting frameworks as part of the broader automation delivery lifecycle.
What you’ll need:
- Experience: 4-6 years of experience in Data Visualization, SQL, and working with large datasets.
- Power BI Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including proven knowledge and experience with DAX.
- SQL Proficiency: Expertise in SQL for querying and manipulating relational databases such as SQL Server or Postgre SQL.
- Technical Tools: Proficiency in Excel and other data manipulation tools.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data to identify key insights and trends with strong attention to detail.
- Problem-Solving: Proven experience dealing with technical blockers and optimizing reporting performance.
- Communication: Effective communicator with the ability to tell a story through data to drive business decisions.
- Collaboration: A proactive and collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, “hands-on” environment.
