This position will be remote in the United States or with the ability for local candidates to work hybrid in our American Fork, UT office 2-3 days per week.

We are seeking an experienced Sr Software Engineer to be part of a remote team that builds high-availability solutions for dental offices and enterprises focusing on insurance eligibility in the revenue cycle management space.

What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and enhance features while resolving bugs, delivering high-quality, maintainable code
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering teams
- Mentor and support the growth of team members by sharing knowledge, reviewing code, and promoting best practices
- Solve complex technical challenges with creativity, curiosity, and a focus on long-term solutions
- Partner with DevOps to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth and reliable software delivery
- Apply SOLID principles, test-driven development, and other best practices to produce robust, scalable software
Travel/Physical Demands
- Travel typically less than 10%
- Office environment with no special physical demands required

Qualifications
What You Will Have
- 6+ years of experience building backend software with Java
- Has experience working effectively within an agile, hybrid work environment
- Actively engages in sharing ideas and learning from fellow team members
- Ability to apply effective technical leadership and works collaboratively with the team to drive outcomes
- Proficient with RESTful APIs and integrating internal/third-party services
- Communicates clearly and collaborates effectively across other engineering teams and product
- Proactive, curious, and self-motivated; empathetic, authentic, and resilient
Nice to Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
- Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Hands-on experience building frontend applications with React
- Practices Continuous Deployment to streamline software delivery
The posted range for this position is $115,000 - $135,000 which is the expected starting salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.This position is eligible for a bonus target not reflected in the range.
