The Role

You’ll be the person home service providers hear from first - your job is turning those conversations into partnerships. Your day starts with digging into HubSpot to see who responded overnight, then diving into calls with contractors who are busy but interested, answering your call between jobs but asking you to send details.

You’re not just sending cold emails. You’re having real conversations with handymen, contractors, and service pros - figuring out how we can help them get more customers, streamline their operations, or grow their business. Then you’re walking them through agreements, getting them set up, and making sure they’re successful from day one.

Between calls, you’re tinkering with our AI outreach tools, tweaking sequences, testing new angles. You might notice contractors in Texas respond differently than ones in Ohio, so you build different approaches. You’re constantly asking: “How do we get better at this?”

The stuff that matters to us

  • You get excited about optimization. Not just hitting numbers, but figuring out how to hit them better. You see a 12% open rate and immediately start wondering about subject lines, send times, audience segments.
  • You can talk to anyone. We work with all kinds of service providers - the handyman who’s been fixing everything for 20 years and prefers phone calls, the young contractor who runs her business through apps. You adapt to whoever you’re talking to.
  • You’re comfortable being their voice internally. When contractors tell you our onboarding flow is confusing, you don’t just nod - you bring that feedback to product. You become the bridge between what providers need and what we’re building.
  • You like figuring things out. AI tools, CRM workflows, new outreach channels - you don’t wait for someone to show you how. You dig in and experiment.

Who you are

  • 2-4 years in outbound sales, business development, or partnerships - ideally at a startup where you had to figure things out as you went
  • Comfortable with CRMs (HubSpot experience is a plus) and marketing automation tools, and you actually enjoy using them to get better results
  • Experience talking to small business owners and understanding how they think - you can have real conversations without sounding scripted
  • Naturally curious about what makes things work. When campaigns perform well, you dig into why. When they flop, you want to understand what went wrong
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and moving fast - you’d rather test something imperfect today than wait for the perfect plan next month
