Job Description

Role:

You will be able to proactively direct and develop the Asset Owners (“ AO”) business lines in Asia. Drive new business development, revenue growth and service line expansion in line with the business strategy.  Ensure that the teams, tools, and processes deployed in service delivery are optimal and fit-for-purpose. Understand fully the regulatory environments that affect the business and effectively ensure that processes and measures are in place that achieve compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive and execute the strategic development of the AO businesses in Asia
  • Deliver the commercial budget from existing portfolio, while also ensure client service excellence
  • Contribute to the development of the strategy of the AO businesses, identifying major business opportunities within the agreed Service Line strategy
  • Drive a culture of excellence and compliance, and shape the operational teams, tools and processes based on sound principles
  • Manage the AO segment heads in Asia to deliver excellent client services
  • Actively promote a constructive “pro-compliance” culture at both local and Group level
  • Lead AO projects, in collaboration across jurisdictions
  • Set out the business plan and drive execution and go-to-market in the sector
  • Act as main liaison person for regulatory matters related to AO businesses
  • Act as the Independent Non-Executive Director for clients

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Law, Business Management or a related field, and at least one internationally recognised, relevant professional qualification
  • 15+ years’ experience in Capital Markets, a portion of which at senior leadership. Proven experience in commercial roles with track record of client management and achievement of commercial targets
  • Extensive experience in related field, i.e. high-value family offices and SWFs.
  • Understanding of business process management and optimisation, as well as the principle of continuous improvement
  • Fluent English, knowledge of a second language (e.g. Chinese, Japanese etc.) would be an asset
