Join a healthcare-focused operation supporting a single multi-level care facility that includes Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, Assisted Living, and Memory Care services. This role is not about posting jobs and waiting — it’s about judgment, follow-through, and candidate engagement.
As a Recruitment Specialist, you’ll focus on reviewing applicants who were declined for licensed roles and identifying strong potential fits for non-licensed support positions. You’ll engage candidates directly, assess suitability, and move the right people forward quickly and professionally.
This is a people-facing role that requires strong communication, discernment, and the confidence to both progress and close candidates appropriately.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Working Hours: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST ( 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM South African time – subject to change in accordance with daylight savings in the United States as well as the operational requirements of the Company).
- You will be required to work on both South African and U.S. public holidays (compensation for SA public holidays in accordance with the BCEA).
- Internet Requirements: A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and the ability to support a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory. Applicants without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered.
- Power Backup: A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding and power outages. Applicants without a power backup cannot be considered.
- Work Environment: This is a fully remote working role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review applicants declined for licensed healthcare roles and assess them for alternative non-licensed positions
- Identify transferable skills, attitude, and overall fit for support roles such as dietary, housekeeping, activities, and similar positions
- Proactively contact candidates via text, email, and phone to discuss suitable opportunities
- Conduct screening conversations to assess communication skills, reliability, and character fit
- Schedule qualified candidates for interviews and ensure a smooth handover to the hiring team
- Clearly and professionally close out candidates who are not a fit
- Manage multiple candidate conversations at once while keeping records accurate and up to date
Industry Experience (Required):
- Previous experience in recruiting or talent acquisition.
- Experience recruiting in U.S. healthcare is a strong plus.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Conversational, engaging, and confident communicator
- Strong judgment and the ability to read between the lines when assessing candidates
- Comfortable delivering both positive and negative outcomes professionally
- Highly organized and able to multitask across ongoing candidate conversations
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in basic computer navigation, MS Office, and Outlook.
- Comfortable managing leads and candidate information in a CRM or ATS.
