Job Description

About Us:

At Kooth, our mission is to create welcoming, accessible spaces for personalized digital mental health care that empowers young people to thrive. Grounded in an early-intervention model, we help youth aged 13–25 build resilience, access timely support, and lead fulfilling lives. We are more than a digital service — we are a movement for inclusive, evidence-informed mental health care.

Our culture is rooted in our values: Alongside You, Flexible, Compassionate, Committed, and Safe. These guide everything we do - how we show up for young people, how we collaborate as a team, and how we build solutions that meet communities where they are. With Kooth, you’ll be part of something bigger than yourself: meaningful work with measurable impact.

We bring this mission to life through Soluna, California’s first-in-the-nation digital behavioral health service for 13–25-year-olds. Soluna removes barriers to care by providing nearly immediate access to 1:1 coaching, Care Navigation, and self-guided tools helping young people find real support, build resilience, and discover hope when they need it most. Together with state and local partners, we’re transforming access to mental health support for youth. Learn more at solunaapp.com/impact.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for a strategic and mission-driven Director of Account Management & Partnerships to oversee a portfolio of Kooth’s U.S. clients outside of California, with a primary focus on Michigan and the broader Midwest region. This role will support our public sector growth through strong relationship management, strategic partnership development, implementation support, and ecosystem engagement across the state of Michigan.

The Director will focus on managing complex, government-funded contracts while cultivating partnerships across Medicaid payers, state and county health departments, K–12 school systems, higher education institutions, and community-based coalitions. This role will also play an important role in supporting implementation efforts—helping school districts, partners, and community stakeholders successfully launch and integrate Kooth’s services within their existing systems and student support models.

You will serve as a key point of contact for our clients and partners in Michigan, ensuring service excellence, contract compliance, successful implementation and adoption, and opportunities for renewal and expansion—while building meaningful, sustainable partnerships that deepen Kooth’s impact on youth mental health across the state.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

Strategic Account Management

  • Manage a portfolio of high-impact state and regional contracts, ensuring strong delivery, service-level compliance, and client satisfaction
  • Act as the day-to-day lead for key public sector stakeholders—including commissioners, agency leads, Medicaid and payer partners, and legislative liaisons
  • Partner with senior leadership to help shape and execute Kooth’s broader commercial and partnership strategy within assigned states or territories, identifying opportunities to strengthen market presence, expand ecosystem influence, and support long-term growth objectives
  • Lead recurring business reviews with clients (monthly, quarterly, and/or annually depending on contract structure), delivering clear, data-informed insights that demonstrate Kooth’s outcomes, engagement, and overall value
  • Identify opportunities for contract renewal and service expansion based on evolving client needs, policy priorities, and market dynamics
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Clinical, Engagement, Marketing, and Operations teams to align internal resources with client expectations and strategic priorities
  • Ensure client and partner feedback informs continuous improvement across Kooth’s delivery model, partnership approach, and member experience

Partnership Development

  • Support the development and execution of Kooth’s U.S. partnership strategy by identifying aligned opportunities with Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs), school districts, state agencies, and community coalitions to develop system advocacy for our service and establish mutual referrer opportunities for user acquisition channels
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Partnership teams to map ecosystem stakeholders and coordinate outreach strategies
  • Represent Kooth at relevant stakeholder meetings, virtual briefings, and sector events to deepen trust and raise awareness of our model
  • Contribute to partnership proposals, pilots, and new delivery models alongside commercial and cross-functional colleagues

Reporting, Storytelling & Influence

  • Create and deliver compelling reports, presentations, and dashboards that translate Kooth’s data into stories of community impact and system value
  • Ensure reporting is tailored to stakeholder audiences and reflects clinical outcomes, youth engagement, and program ROI
  • Contribute to the development of materials that support communications, advocacy, and policy-aligned storytelling for Kooth’s clients and partners

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership

  • Serve as a trusted cross-functional partner to teams across Sales, Product, Clinical, Operations, and Marketing
  • Champion the voice of the client internally and help Kooth remain responsive, evidence-based, and values-aligned
  • Support operational improvements to scale account management processes as Kooth grows across new geographies and sectors

What You’ll Bring:

  • 7–10 years of experience in account management, public sector partnership development, government relations, or strategic partnerships—ideally within digital health, behavioral health, education, Medicaid, or related sectors
  • Experience managing public sector contracts and complex stakeholder relationships, including Medicaid MCOs, school systems, state agencies, county partners, or community-based organizations
  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes, Medicaid policy, public health funding structures, and/or behavioral health ecosystems
  • Familiarity with the partnership landscape within Michigan (or assigned territory), including existing relationships or experience working across education, youth mental health, healthcare, public sector, or community-based systems
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and influence across diverse stakeholder groups, from operational partners to senior government and community leaders
  • Strong communication, relationship management, and project management skills, with the ability to navigate complex and evolving environments
  • Ability to create clear, client-facing presentations, reports, and strategic insights using data and tools such as Google Sheets, Slides, and Docs
  • Passion for equitable access to mental health care and improving outcomes for young people and communities
