About the Role

MUBI is seeking a diligent, detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our team in Cologne. In this role, you will be an essential part of our European financial operations, balancing day-to-day accounting precision with the exciting evolution of our global internal systems.

You will have a direct impact on the health of our local operations - from accounts payable and monthly close processes to managing statements and invoices. This position is perfect for a collaborative professional who loves numbers, thrives in a dynamic environment, and wants to contribute to a company where creativity and commercial discipline go hand in hand.

We work hybrid-remote where we require 3 office days in Cologne. Our core days are Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, with the flexibility to use our offices on the remaining two days if you wish.

Where you’ll have impact:

  • General financial operations responsibilities, including processing of accounts payable, travel expenses and management of corporate credit cards.

  • Involvement in the monthly accounting close process

  • Management of distributor statements and royalty invoices

  • Supporting the accounting department in administrative processes

  • Support the current software migration to NetSuite

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in accounting in a GmbH environment, ideally for a mid-sized business (€5M to €50M revenues).

  • You are interested in film, like to deal with numbers and enjoy working in a team of creative professionals

  • You have experience with DATEV; additional experience with NetSuite is an advantage

  • Familiarity with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, particularly Sheets or Excel.

  • You enjoy learning new things and developing new processes.

  • You are proficient in written and spoken English and German.

We want to make cinema accessible to everyone. We believe people from different backgrounds bring different ideas that foster innovation and engagement, allowing us to attract great people to develop the best experience for our users.
