Job Description
Creative Impact Lab Overview:
At NBCUniversal, our standout skill is storytelling. We use our platform to elevate inspiring stories and creators and build a more inclusive industry. We’ve begun harnessing this power for nonprofits through our Creative Impact Lab.
Founded in 2022, the Creative Impact Lab harnesses a one-of-a-kind model to combine employee service with our unique storytelling skills. Volunteer leaders from across our company collaborate with nonprofit agency partners and their apprentices and help teach them new production skills. Each of these nonprofit agencies is matched with one nonprofit agency and are commissioned to tell their stories in the form of marketing assets. And as a company, we donate time—both our team’s time and valuable ad inventory across television and streaming—to showcase these marketing promos created in the Lab. This enables us to amplify the impact of these nonprofit organizations, and, ultimately, create a more inclusive creative economy.
Comcast NBCUnites’ Creative Impact Lab is part of Project UP, Comcast’s $1 billion commitment to reach millions of people with the tools, resources, and skills needed to succeed in a digital world.
Core Responsibilities:
- Execute all communications for Lab participants, including daily monitoring of the program inbox and chat channels
- Maintain and innovate systems and processes that facilitate the Lab, such as music library access for the agencies and key project touchpoint meetings
- Support end-to-end legal review process of marketing assets created in the Lab, from pre-production onboarding of agencies to execution of shoot protocols to final licensing agreements
- Facilitate final delivery of marketing assets to spec for all Comcast NBCU platforms
- Enrich volunteer experience of NBCU employees and the mentorship experience of apprentices
- Contribute to strategic communications plans for the Lab with goals ranging from earning more impressions for nonprofit assets to cementing NBCU as the destination for nonprofit storytelling; outputs including but not limited to NBCUniversal blog and social posts, press coverage and executive by-lines, event integrations, etc.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 1+ years communications and/or marketing experience, preferably in the media/entertainment industry
- Solid multi-tasking and time management skills to successfully manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines

Desired Characteristics:
- Masterful organization, resourcefulness, and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and client relation skills
- Confident task master who knows how to move things forward
- Consistent team player who is willing to pitch in on last-minute, high-priority projects as needed
- Experience working in a marketing, sales or event-based organization is a plus
