Job Description

Role Purpose

NBC Entertainment Marketing Video Creative is seeking an exceptionally talented Social Content Writer/Producer/Editor who is brilliant at crafting social and digital content with a keen ability to tell different types of stories for all social platforms. This position requires a person with a unique talent for blazing new creative trails in the invention of smart, eye catching, high impact, compelling, original social content that drives engagement, make people stop, interact, and interact with all NBC shows (drama, comedy, unscripted, specials, etc.).

Essential Responsibilities

  • Write, produce, and edit social & digital content for NBC Entertainment programming
  • Script, Pitch and Shoot content on set with talent
  • Bring big, innovative ideas to every project with work that immediately grabs attention and draws people in
  • Take big swings with big concepts and be willing to fail in pursuit of something different and extraordinary
  • Work closely with creative directors, production managers, graphic designers and the entire social team
  • Collaborate with Marketing team members, ideating and executing creative that is on-brand for both the program content and NBC
  • Be a flexible team player and self-starter, with the ability to multitask projects
  • Interface with the creative community as well as all levels of the NBC organization

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of social agency, broadcast network, film studio, streaming or entertainment cable network experience writing, producing, and editing social first content
  • Proficiency with the full Adobe Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, Etc.) is required
  • Experience with Avid Media Composer Preferred
  • Willingness to work long hours and on weekends with short notice

Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge of and passion for pop culture, television, and new media trends is a must!
  • Proven track record for creativity and innovation in writing and producing and editing
  • Ability to comfortably work under very dynamic deadline conditions
  • Strong leadership, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and maintaining a professional attitude
  • Effective time management ability, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be flexible, personable, have a positive attitude; a self-starter with ability to think on your feet and anticipate issues before they happen
  • Detail oriented with the ability to interface with all levels of NBCUniversal personnel

Additional Requirements

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the Universal City, CA  office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
  • This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.   • Must have work authorization to work in the United States
