Job Summary
Bristlecone is seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in AWS cloud databases. The candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing AWS Aurora databases to ensure performance, availability, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage AWS Aurora (MySQL/PostgreSQL) databases
- Perform installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades
- Execute database performance tuning and query optimization
- Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes
- Handle database migrations using AWS DMS
- Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform
- Monitor database health and troubleshoot production issues
- Ensure data security, compliance, and high availability
Required Skills
- 5+ years of DBA experience
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS Aurora (MySQL / PostgreSQL)
- Proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning
- Experience with AWS DMS
- Working knowledge of Terraform
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred
- Experience in AWS production environment.
