Job Description:
Title : Performance Test Engineer
Location: Mindspace, Hyderabad (Hybrid)
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer with a strong background in performance testing, analysis, and optimization of complex systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, and experience with advanced tools like NeoLoad, Blazemeter, or Gatling. The role involves designing, executing, and analyzing performance test scenarios to ensure our applications meet scalability, stability, and reliability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability tests for web and enterprise applications.
Create and maintain performance test plans, scripts, and data using JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar tools.
Collaborate with development, DevOps, and QA teams to identify performance bottlenecks and propose tuning solutions.
Monitor system performance using APM tools and analyze key metrics (CPU, memory, throughput, latency, etc.).
Provide detailed test reports, metrics, and root cause analyses to stakeholders.
Evaluate and implement modern performance testing tools and frameworks (NeoLoad, Blazemeter, Gatling).
Contribute to performance engineering best practices and ensure integration of performance testing in CI/CD pipelines.
Support capacity planning and performance risk assessments during project releases.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in software testing, with a minimum of 6 years in performance testing.
Strong hands-on experience with Apache JMeter and Micro Focus LoadRunner.
Experience in at least one advanced performance testing tool such as NeoLoad, Blazemeter, or Gatling.
Deep understanding of performance testing methodologies, KPIs, and metrics.
Proficiency in test scripting, result analysis, and performance tuning.
Experience working with web-based, API, and distributed systems.
Familiarity with monitoring and profiling tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, New Relic).
Good understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Performance testing experience in high-volume, mission-critical environments.
Certification in Performance Testing or Load Testing Tools is a plus.
