Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer with a strong background in the financial or fintech domain to create, maintain, and enhance documentation for financial products, platforms, and processes. The ideal candidate can translate complex financial and technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain high-quality documentation including user manuals, product guides, process documents, release notes, API documentation, and knowledge base articles.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, QA, and SMEs to gather information and ensure documentation accuracy.
Understand complex financial workflows, products, and systems (e.g., trading, payments, banking, wealth management, insurance, or compliance systems).
Create and standardize templates, style guides, and documentation frameworks for consistency.
Review and edit existing documentation for clarity, accuracy, and tone.
Ensure all content aligns with regulatory and compliance standards within the financial industry.
Maintain version control and manage documentation repositories ( Confluence, SharePoint, Git, etc.).
Support internal training and onboarding through structured, easy-to-understand documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Finance, Computer Science, or related field.
4–8 years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in financial services or fintech.
Strong understanding of financial products, workflows, and terminologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in documentation tools such as Confluence, MadCap Flare, RoboHelp, MS Office Suite, or Markdown.
Basic understanding of APIs, SDLC, and Agile environments.
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Good to Have:
Experience with banking, trading, payments, or regulatory platforms.
Familiarity with JIRA, Git, and XML/DITA-based authoring tools.
Knowledge of UX writing or content design principles.
