Job Description
PA has been at the forefront of drug delivery device development for more than 30 years, supporting a global client base of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device organizations. Our drug delivery team operates internationally across the U.S., UK, and Ireland, combining deep technical expertise with world‑class design, engineering, and science capabilities.
We are seeking a Client Development Lead to drive growth across Drug Delivery and Medical Device clients on a global basis, with many clients headquartered in the U.S. This role is focused on building senior‑level relationships, identifying high‑value growth opportunities, and advancing them through the early stages of the sales pipeline.
This is a growth‑oriented role requiring strong industry credibility, a deep understanding of regulated product development, and the ability to connect client challenges with PA’s design, engineering, and scientific expertise. While digital and data capabilities may support client solutions, the core focus of this role is drug delivery and medical device innovation.
Qualifications
- Identify, qualify, and progress new business opportunities related to drug delivery systems, combination products, and medical devices
- Build and maintain senior‑level relationships across R&D, Product Development, Engineering, Clinical, and Commercial leadership
- Lead early discovery conversations and shape opportunities prior to formal pursuit
- Position PA’s capabilities in design, engineering, human factors, systems engineering, and regulatory support
- Partner with Principals, technical experts, and delivery teams to transition qualified opportunities into active pursuits
- Manage early‑stage pipeline activity in CRM, including opportunity tracking and stakeholder engagement
- Represent PA at key industry events throughout the year, building visibility and strengthening market presence
- Provide ongoing market and competitive insights to inform proposition development and growth strategy
This role is specifically focused on:
- Working with device OEM and pharmaceutical clients to develop new drug delivery systems, including injection systems, inhalation devices, and wearables
- Supporting pharma and biotech clients developing drug‑device combination products, including those leveraging third‑party device platforms
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Deep industry experience and network within drug delivery, medical devices, or combination products
- Proven experience in business development, consulting sales, or client leadership roles
- Strong understanding of regulated product development and lifecycle management
- Experience selling engineering, product development, R&D, or technical consulting services
- Ability to engage credibly with senior technical and commercial stakeholders
- Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and opportunity‑shaping skills
Preferred Experience
- Background in consulting, engineering services, or life sciences product development
- Experience supporting complex, multi‑stakeholder pursuits
- Ability to translate technical challenges into compelling business value propositions

Additional information
Hybrid working - our approach is to be in the office or on client site a minimum of 2 days per week. However, the actual time you spend and where you spend it will vary by role or assignment, including up to 5 days per week on a client site or at the office.

In compliance with Colorado’s, New York & Massachusetts’s Equal Pay Transparency Act, PA is required to provide a reasonable salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the State of Massachusetts and is commensurate with experience, market data, applicant skills, internal equity and/or degrees/certifications. Salary Range: $145,100 - $190,000.
