Why Work with Us?
At Pearl, we’re not just another recruiting firm—we connect you with exceptional opportunities to work alongside visionary US and EU founders. Our focus is on placing you in roles where you can grow, be challenged, and build long-term, meaningful careers.
About the Company
Our client is a product-led SaaS company operating in the event technology space, building web and mobile platforms that power end-to-end event experiences. Their platform enables organizations to create, manage, and scale interactive event journeys across devices. The company operates in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment with a strong emphasis on product quality, reliability, and user experience.
Role Overview
This role exists to establish, scale, and own the automated quality assurance function for a growing event management SaaS platform. The Automation QA Engineer will design and implement automated testing strategies across web, Android, and iOS applications, ensuring high-confidence releases as the product evolves. This is a highly autonomous, execution-heavy role that works closely with engineering while maintaining ownership over testing standards and strategy. The position is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building systems from scratch, and takes full accountability for quality outcomes. You will collaborate with engineering partners and a manual QA counterpart while driving long-term automation maturity.
Your Impact
You will directly improve product stability and release confidence by implementing scalable automated test coverage across platforms. Your work will reduce regression risk, improve deployment velocity, and provide meaningful quality signals to engineering teams. You will influence long-term quality standards and testing practices across the organization. By identifying high-risk areas early, you will help prevent production issues and elevate overall user experience.
Core Responsibilities
Automation Framework & Strategy – 45%
- Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks for web and mobile applications.
- Define and own long-term test coverage strategy and quality benchmarks.
- Identify high-risk product areas and prioritize automation for maximum impact.
- Balance test reliability, execution speed, and coverage as the platform scales.
Web & Mobile Test Automation – 30%
- Build and expand automated test suites for modern web applications.
- Implement and evolve mobile automation for Android and iOS platforms.
- Write maintainable, scalable, and reliable automated tests.
- Ensure automated tests provide actionable signal rather than noise.
Engineering Collaboration & CI/CD – 15%
- Partner closely with engineers to align on testing priorities and coverage gaps.
- Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines where appropriate.
- Consult with engineering teams while owning execution and implementation decisions.
Manual QA & Release Support – 10%
- Perform hands-on manual QA for major releases and high-risk features.
- Quickly learn and navigate applications end-to-end.
- Support comprehensive validation during feature launches.
Must-Haves (Required)
- 4+ years of experience in QA engineering with strong automation ownership.
- Proven experience building automated test suites from scratch.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworks.

- Experience testing modern web applications and mobile apps.
- Ability to operate as the sole owner of automation QA.
- Highly independent, proactive, and self-directed work style.
- Strong English communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
Nice-to-Haves (Preferred)
- Experience with BrowserStack or similar cross-browser/device platforms.
