Job Position: Finance Operations Associate, Workforce Analyst
Work Arrangement: Remote (LATAM and South Africa based)
Job Type: Full-time, Independent Contractor
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with core hours between 9 AM and 5 PM EST

Purpose of Your Role
We’re looking for a Finance Operations Associate who can keep the wheels turning smoothly at Pearl. You’ll play a key role in managing the day-to-day operations across finance, people, and systems, ensuring our team has the structure and support to move fast and scale with confidence. From managing financial records and reporting to streamlining workflows and supporting leadership on special projects, you’ll be at the center of making things run efficiently.
This role is perfect for someone who’s detail-driven, process-oriented, and excited to take ownership of building the backbone of a fast-growing startup.
Role Overview
As our Finance Operations Associate, you’ll be responsible for financial recordkeeping and reporting, vendor and client management, and operational process improvements. You’ll also partner with leadership to keep projects on track, identify opportunities for efficiency, and ensure compliance with legal and tax requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Operations
- Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts across banks, payment platforms, and credit cards.
- Prepare and issue invoices, track receivables, and process payments for vendors, contractors, and talent.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting for leadership visibility.
- Manage compliance documents (W9, W8BEN, tax forms) and ensure accuracy for audits, filings, and international transactions.
- Track bonus requests, payroll timelines, and financial SOPs to ensure consistency across teams.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify gaps or bottlenecks in financial and backend workflows and implement solutions.
- Standardize templates, trackers, and reporting structures for consistency across the organization.
Platforms & Tools You’ll Work With
Required:
- Finance & Accounting: Any of the following — QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks, Bill.com, Payoneer, Wise (or similar)
- Payroll & Compliance: Any of the following — Remote, Deel, Gusto, ADP, or other EOR/payroll platforms
- Communication & Documentation: Slack, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
Nice-to-have:
- Backend & IT Setup: VPNs, softphones (Aircall, RingCentral, Zoom Phone), password managers (1Password, LastPass)
