In this role, you’ll be supported by our IT Service Team and trained to provide entry-level technical support and troubleshooting, helping to keep our systems running smoothly. You’ll assist with hardware, software, and user-related queries while delivering great customer service.
This is a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career in IT, with mentorship from experienced engineers and real exposure to day-to-day IT operations.
Please note that candidates with prior IT experience (from previous internships or work) will not be eligible for this position.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

Working within an IT Support Service Desk environment responding to technical support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system
Responding appropriately and dealing with incidents; service requests; queries and complaints in an effective manner (i.e. punctual; polite and with empathy)
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, issues
Answering all inbound calls via the contact centre
Provide 1st-line telephonic IT support to global users
Maintain inventory of IT assets and equipment
Escalate issues to IT Support Engineers as required
Work with IT Support Engineers to gain experience
Taking ownership of incidents and service requests assigned to you; responding to these within SLA and managing to resolution
Contribute fully as an active team member and ensure team objectives are achieved
Work rotational shifts between 8am - 6pm (SA time)
Only candidates based in Cape Town are eligible
The role requires working onsite for the first 3 months, followed by a flexible working model
Excellent communication skills are essential, as the position involves primarily telephonic support with users from global offices
No prior work experience is necessary
Matric certificate required
An IT-related qualification or certification is needed
Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Reliable internet connection at home is required
A quiet and suitable home/work environment to provide uninterrupted support
Strong motivation and passion for technology and customer service
Trustworthy and dependable individual

Hybrid/Home Office Guidelines:
- This position is based in Cape Town and requires commuting to the office at least twice a week; this is mandatory
- A secure home office at your registered address, free from distractions or background noise when working remotely
- Your internet service must meet the minimum requirements, and a speed check must be completed
