Job Description

The Indonesia PMC Lead will be responsible for establishing and developing Turner & Townsend’s PMC service offering in the Indonesia market. This strategic role requires close collaboration with the Asia PMC Lead and the PMC market leads for other countries to pioneer our PMC capabilities; productise our PMC solution tailored to the Indonesia market and build a sustainable client base for this service line.

As a key member of our Indonesia leadership team, you will bridge international PMC best practices with local market realities, working within the constraints of Indonesia construction law while delivering value to clients seeking alternative project delivery approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Development & Strategy

  • Partner with the Asia PMC Lead to adapt and localize PMC service offerings for the Indonesia market
  • Identify opportunities and limitations within Indonesia construction law and develop compliant service frameworks
  • Design processes, templates, and methodologies that align with both Turner & Townsend standards and Indonesia market requirements
  • Stay current on regulatory changes and industry trends affecting PMC project delivery in Indonesia
  • Contribute to regional PMC knowledge sharing and best practice development

Business Development & Client Engagement

  • Identify and pursue target clients who would benefit from PMC services (hyperscale tech, data centres, industrial, manufacturing, etc.)
  • Develop compelling value propositions that resonate with both local Indonesian and international client expectations and procurement approaches
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations
  • Collaborate with existing Turner & Townsend client teams to cross-sell PMC capabilities
  • Represent Turner & Townsend at industry events, conferences, and networking forums
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, and thought leadership content for the Indonesia market

Project Delivery & Client Management

  • Lead PMC engagements from inception through completion
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams while maintaining clear scope boundaries and contractual compliance
  • Manage client relationships and expectations throughout project lifecycle
  • Ensure quality delivery aligned with Turner & Townsend’s global standards
  • Mentor and develop junior team members on PMC delivery approaches

Stakeholder & Contractor Relations

  • Build relationships with major Indonesian construction companies (general contractors, specialty contractors, M&E contractors)
  • Facilitate coordination between international clients and local construction partners
  • Address cultural and communication challenges in PMC delivery between international clients and local developers/stakeholder.

Market Intelligence & Problem Solving

  • Analyse challenges specific to PMC delivery in Indonesia (licensing, liability, labour practices, supply chain, etc.)
  • Develop creative solutions to overcome market and ecosystem barriers and regulatory constraints
  • Document lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement of service offering
  • Provide market feedback to Asia regional leadership on viability and scalability of PMC services

Qualifications

Education & Professional Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field
  • Professional certifications relevant to project/construction management (PMP, CCM, or equivalent) preferred
  • Business-level proficiency in English (written and spoken)

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in construction management, project management, or related consulting services in data centre, technology, industrial, or manufacturing sectors
  • Demonstrated experience working on complex construction projects in Indonesia
  • Understanding of Indonesian construction industry practices, regulations, and key players
  • Experience with project controls, cost management, and schedule management
  • Track record in business development or client-facing roles
  • Experience working in a matrix organization or multinational consulting environment

Knowledge & Skills

  • Familiarity with international construction best practices and standards
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong presentation and communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial, ambiguous environment
  • Prior experience establishing new service lines or entering new markets
  • Experience working with international clients on projects in Indonesia
  • Knowledge of specific sectors where PMC is gaining traction in Indonesia

Working Condition

  • Office-based in Jakarta with flexibility for hybrid working arrangements
  • Regular travel within Indonesia to client sites and project locations
  • Occasional international travel to regional offices and client meetings
