Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the transition from current vendor-managed payroll ( GreytHR) to ADP.
- Define payroll governance, SOPs, and internal controls.
- Oversee data migration, historical payroll validation, and system configuration.
- Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing for 600+ employees.
- Ensure accurate calculation of earnings, deductions, taxes, and statutory contributions.
- Maintain payroll calendar and cut-off timelines.
- Ensure adherence to Indian labour laws and tax regulations ( PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, TDS, Gratuity, Bonus Act).
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual filings ( PF, ESIC, PT, TDS returns, Form 16).
- Collaborate with IT for HRMS, attendance, and GL integrations.
- Validate ADP configuration for pay groups, statutory rules, and GL mapping.
- Drive UAT and parallel payroll runs.
- Manage defect resolution and sign-off for go-live readiness.
- Act as primary liaison between HR, Finance, IT, Compliance, and ADP vendor.
- Handle employee queries and set up payroll helpdesk.
- Implement automation and analytics for payroll efficiency.
- Conduct periodic audits and ensure robust internal controls.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or HR.
- MBA / M.Com or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
- 5+ years in payroll operations.
- Minimum 2
- 2+ years in a people manager role.
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with ADP or similar payroll systems.
Compliance Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of Indian statutory requirements.
