At vSplash, we design and deliver the digital face of thousands of small businesses every month through our global partners. Every layout, color choice, and interaction we design shapes how a business is seen online.
As a Web Designer, you’ll create visually engaging, user-focused, and conversion-friendly website designs using Figma. You’ll translate client briefs into clean, modern web layouts that are easy to build, scalable, and aligned with business goals. This role demands both creative depth and design discipline — from understanding color contrast and typography to structuring files for seamless transition into WordPress or other page builders.
What You’ll Do
- Design visually compelling website layouts for small and mid-sized U.S. businesses across multiple industries.
- Work extensively in Figma — apply correct layering, tagging, naming conventions, and grouping for developer-ready files.
- Use Figma Prototyping to define navigation, interactions, and page flow.
- Apply principles of UI/UX, color theory, and responsive design for consistent visual hierarchy and accessibility.
- Translate design fundamentals into industry-appropriate aesthetics (e.g., law, health, retail, home services).
- Collaborate with copy-writers and developers to ensure designs translate seamlessly into live websites.
- Maintain agility — meet high-output goals while upholding design quality and brand consistency.
Who You Are
- A designer with an eye for layout precision, proportion, and usability.
- Deeply familiar with Figma, Auto Layout, and rapid prototyping.
- Grounded in design fundamentals — color, typography, balance, and rhythm.
- Agile, feedback-positive, and focused on delivering creative excellence at speed.
- Tuned to design for small-businesses and their audiences
Skills & Experience to Have
Must-Have
- 2+ years of professional experience in web design.
- Hands-on expertise in Figma, including components, Auto Layout, and prototyping.
- Strong understanding of responsive design, color theory, and typography.
- Portfolio of at least 10 professional website designs showcasing creativity and consistency.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with design-to-development workflows using WordPress or Elementor.
- Familiarity with design libraries, vector tools, or animation in Figma.
- Basic understanding of SEO and conversion-oriented design principles.
