ORGANIZATION SUMMARY

Today, organizational programming focuses on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy.
POSITION SUMMARY:
World Relief Fort Worth is looking for compassionate, professional, and dedicated people who are interested in helping refugees resettle in Fort Worth. If hired, you will have the responsibility of coordinating services for a caseload of newly arriving refugee families by providing on-going cultural adjustment support, collaborating with community stakeholders, and encouraging the goal of self-sufficiency.
Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite and 2 work from home days
This is a limited-term position funded through a grant agreement until December 31, 2026, and contingent upon funding extension
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcome newly arriving refugee and immigrant families and individuals in order to help them get off to a great start in building their new lives; this position is the first point of contact for our newly arrived families
- Serve as primary R&P case specialist for a regular, ongoing R&P caseload, completing all required R&P core services within the R&P service period (1-3 months)
- Provide community orientation, advice, and assistance in addressing basic needs
- Assist refugees with appointments, and other health related appointments
- Assist clients in creating budgets and provide basic financial information
- Work to ensure client enrollment to public benefits (as applicable), enrollment in ESL classes, and encourage clients to engage in further integration programs and legal services
- Assist clients in creating individualized service plans that are goal oriented and tailored to individual needs
- Maintain and complete detailed and accurate records of client files, case notes, and reporting records and submit monthly program reports
- Encourage participants to work towards self-sufficiency and early employment (if applicable)
- Perform home visits and evaluations during service period
- Identify and address barriers to successful resettlement and integration
- Operate as a cultural broker between volunteers, church groups, service providers and refugees
- Maintain regular communication with clients through phone calls, emails, and office visits
- Complete reports, service plans, and other tasks related to Refugee and Placement Program.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Mature and personal Christian faith
- Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
- Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals’ For the Health of The Nation document
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as client’s needs change
- Valid driver’s license and reliable access to an insured vehicle required
- Must be able to pass a background check and MVR check
- Experience in Microsoft software including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bi-lingual desired (e.g., Dari, Pashto, Arabic, Kirundi, Swahili, Spanish)
- Undergraduate degree preferred Previous case management experience preferred
- Previous professional experience in social services sector strongly preferred
$22 - $22 an hour
