About the Role

We are seeking a results-driven Technical Recruiter to join xAI’s Talent Acquisition team, where you will spearhead high-volume sourcing efforts to attract top-tier technical talent and fuel our mission to build the trusted global digital public square. In this role, you will own the end-to-end recruitment process for priority technical requisitions, leveraging a world-class, data-driven approach to deliver exceptional candidate experiences and meet aggressive hiring goals. Ideal candidates are go-getters who thrive in fast-paced, startup-like environments, excel at building creative sourcing strategies, and are passionate about scaling xAI’s workforce with top talent across all technical disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with technical leaders to deeply understand requirements for priority hires and develop high-volume sourcing strategies to match top talent to open roles at speed.
  • Manage a robust, full-cycle hiring process, including sourcing, screening, and closing candidates for both high-volume and niche technical roles across all available channels.
  • Leverage data to optimize candidate ROI, increase conversion rates, streamline processes, keep stakeholders informed of hiring trends, and monitor recruitment pace to meet ambitious targets.
  • Create frameworks to analyze the talent market and align sourcing strategies with xAI’s needs for technical roles, including research positions.
  • Ensure an exceptional candidate experience at every stage of the recruitment journey, from initial outreach to offer acceptance.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of recruiting experience in fast-paced, hyper-growth environments, either in agency or in-house settings.
  • Proven track record of managing high-volume pipelines and specialty technical positions, delivering measurable results.
  • Outcome-oriented with strong analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions in ambiguous environments.
  • Full-cycle recruiting experience, including expertise in challenging closes, stakeholder management, and building key internal partnerships.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical leaders and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Greenhouse ATS to manage high-volume recruitment workflows.
  • Proven success supporting hiring events and analyzing post-event ROI to drive recruitment strategies.
  • Familiarity with talent attraction techniques and staying current with market trends to inform sourcing strategies.
  • Experience recruiting at a high-growth startup, building scalable talent acquisition solutions.
  • Expertise in hiring candidates across all technical disciplines, including research roles.
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset with a touch of humor to thrive in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Location, Hourly, and Other Expectations

  • This position is based in Palo Alto, CA, or fully remote.
  • The Palo Alto option is an in-office role requiring 5 days per week; remote positions require strong self-motivation.
  • If you are based in the US, please note we are unable to hire in the states of Wyoming and Illinois at this time.
  • We are unable to provide visa sponsorship.
  • Team members are expected to work from 9:00am - 5:30pm PST for the first two weeks of training and 9:00am - 5:30pm in their own timezone thereafter.
  • For those who will be working from a personal device, please note your computer must be a Chromebook, Mac with MacOS 11.0 or later, or Windows 10 or later.
  • You must own and have reliable access to a smartphone.

Annual Salary Range

$40,000 - $120,000 USD
