This position will focus on talent priorities within onboarding/offboarding, payroll, HR data and systems, risk management, compliance, and international expansion.

Responsibilities:

Employee Full Life Cycle

  • Manage and execute core HR processes related to payroll, benefits, compensation, and other employee programs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Administer employee compensation and employment changes, including onboarding, program enrollments and changes, terminations, and offboarding, ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Maintain and update HR systems, including employee data, benefits enrollment, and compensation information
  • Provide and manage support to employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits programs focusing on a positive employee experience
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of HR processes for quality and scalability

HR Systems & Data Management

  • Maintain the integrity of HR data by ensuring accuracy and consistency across systems
  • Generate reports and analyze HR data to identify trends and provide insights
  • Troubleshoot HR system issues and escalate problems as needed
  • Participate in HR system upgrades and implementations

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Responsible for all policy & compliance matters (handbook, policies, record keeping, training requirements, audits, annual reporting, etc.)
  • Provide guidance and support to management on all Works Council related matters, ensuring compliance with local regulations and best practices
  • Support internal and external audits by gathering data and preparing reports
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in labor laws and regulations
  • Prepare and submit required compliance reports

Leadership

  • Partner cross-functionally with teams across People Operations: Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, Learning & Development as well as Payroll, Legal, Finance,
  • Accounting and IT to integrate people solutions and champion projects where needed
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of HR professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Manage and contribute to ad-hoc HR projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in supporting evolving business needs

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant and progressive experience in People Operations with a demonstrated track record of success leading HR related processes, programs and initiatives in a fast-paced, global environment
  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably with an emphasis in HR or Business
  • Experience launching and managing HR programs (payroll, onboarding, benefits, etc.) from design to successful deployment in high-growth organizations
  • Demonstrated experience successfully working with Works Councils, including navigating legal requirements, building relationships, and achieving mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Experience working HRIS systems administration and implementations through process design and workflow optimization
  • Experience building data-driven action plans and partnering with leadership to implement change
  • Full working knowledge and understanding of HR legislation, employment law, principles, policies, and procedures in a multi-country organization
  • Experience working with diverse teams and managing HR operations in a multi-location environment
  • Ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships, including recruiting, payroll, IT and other partners
  • Ability to write and communicate verbally in an effective and compelling manner in German and English; additional languages are desired
  • The ability to balance strategic initiatives with tactical and operational execution
  • Proven ability to problem-solve complex issues, exercise sound judgment, and drive solutions
  • A strong service orientation, high level of enthusiasm and a desire to help others
  • Tech Industry experience highly desired
