The Role:

We’re looking for a Senior Manager (known internally as a Practice Leader) to join our leadership team and help build out the Accounts team within the Sales department at Zensurance.

In this role, you’ll oversee all aspects of our Commercial Insurance Accounts and own the processes and customer experience to support a fantastic customer journey.

Reporting to the Sales Director, you’ll be leading a team of leaders, focusing on “coaching the coach” to elevate our management standards. You’ll bring a deep customer service background to lift the skills of the entire department.

Responsibilities:

  • Coaching the Coach: Focus on developing the leadership and coaching skills of your Team Leads to ensure they’re effectively supporting and growing their own teams.
  • Service Excellence: Use your strong customer service background to set a high bar and lift the service standards across the entire Accounts department.
  • Continuous Learning: Focus on your own growth and inspire others to keep learning and developing.
  • Empowering Teams: Build up your colleagues and inspire them to tackle challenges they didn’t think were possible.
  • Performance Results: Stay accountable for driving performance to exceed targets through impactful team meetings and performance plans.
  • Talent Development: Assist in the onboarding and training of new talent to set them up for success from day one.
  • Growth Strategy: Design and drive upsell and cross-sell campaigns to boost top-line growth.
  • Operational Excellence: Own process improvements and documentation to help improve the overall customer experience and retention.
  • Customer Journey: Map out and improve the customer journey to elevate satisfaction as measured through our Net Promoter Score.

Requirements:

  • Leading Leaders: Proven experience in a “leader of leaders” role, with a focus on mentoring and developing management-level staff.
  • Service Background: A strong background in high-level customer service with a track record of improving team-wide service metrics.
  • Insurance Expertise: 4+ years of experience in commercial insurance.
  • Leadership Background: 1+ years of experience in an insurance management role.
  • Licensing: A valid RIBO license is required.
  • Industry Designations: CIP, CRM, or CAIB designations are preferred but not required.
  • Strategic Growth: The ability to drive process improvements and deliver growth in line with business goals and KPIs.

Compensation:

At Zensurance, we hire for talent and potential.

The total cash compensation range including OTE for this role is $117,000, with a top earning potential of $142,000.

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees may also be eligible for performance-based case incentive awards.
