The position of Account Director, on our Strategic Services team, requires skills to build strong account satisfaction, retention, growth and reference-ability for one or more high priority accounts within our digital marketing agency. Key responsibilities include leading the development of best-in-class marketing solutions for clients including building strong client relationships through regular, proactive, value-added communication. This person must exhibit the core skill of the ability to grow their accounts, with a proven track record of client retention and growth.

Reports to: SVP, Strategic Services
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage 100% of client communications
- Actively participate in team meetings, providing insight in areas of difficulty
- Develop such a relationship with a client that you are the trusted advisor/partner – you’re thinking about their business from a strategic approach. You are able to ask them for referrals
- Proactive account planning
- Proactively push work through the agency
- Participate regularly in the pitch process/presentations
- Actively find growth opportunities with your clients and step in where there are issues with scope creep
- Fully understand the Primacy products/services and identify opportunities
- Responsible for the organic growth of current clients
- Remain in tune with clients and senses issues before they arise
- Hold poise and patience but stay firm in challenging client situations and manage those situations to resolution
- Remain aware of billing situation of clients
- Use your own network or look for new opportunities to broaden your own network
- Remain diligent about changes in the digital marketing landscape, be vocal about them with clients, and make it actionable
- Organize and lead large team and client meetings (ideation sessions, department meetings, trainings, etc.)
What it takes to succeed in this role
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of Account Management digital marketing experience with agency background
- Experience in one of our core industries: financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, higher education
- Understanding of web site development, marketing, measurement and analytics, content management, digital marketing and internet technology
- Proficiency in writing project overviews
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment
- Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability and maturity
- Ability to prioritize among competing tasks
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills

Compensation Range: We offer a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. The compensation range for this position is $120,000 annually, with potential for bonuses, stock and additional benefits.
