We invented the YubiKey in 2007. It’s a hardware security key that provides phishing-resistant multi-factor authentication (MFA). Our solutions stop account takeovers and enable secure login. We help set global standards for secure access across computers, mobile devices, servers, browsers, and internet accounts. We are a creator and core contributor to open authentication standards like FIDO2, WebAuthn, and FIDO Universal 2nd Factor (U2F). We also offer hardware-based passwordless authentication using passkeys.

Our key products include the YubiKey, which works with hundreds of consumer and enterprise applications and services, and YubiKey as a Service, designed for easy deployment. Our products protect against phishing, credential theft, and unauthorized access for personal and business accounts. We have sold over 22 million YubiKeys. More than 700 services support our keys, which are used in over 160 countries. Our YubiKeys are manufactured in the US and Sweden.

We support an open internet by contributing to open standards like FIDO Universal 2nd Factor (U2F), FIDO2, and WebAuthn. We also support free speech. We believe it is critical for exposing injustice, and through our philanthropic Secure it Forward initiative, we donate YubiKeys to organizations that support free speech and serve at-risk individuals. Additionally, we are committed to a clean environment, using minimal packaging, reducing waste, and making packaging easier to recycle.

We have a global team of approximately 550 people, representing over 30 nationalities. Our employees are based across many countries, including Argentina, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, India, Japan, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Singapore, Sweden, the United Arab Emirates, the UK, and the USA. We offer a wellness reimbursement of up to $1,200 annually for expenses such as gym memberships, massages, or online fitness classes. We support learning and development with an annual stipend of $3,000 and a mentorship program.

We offer 15 vacation days, 10 holidays, and 7 sick days per year. Our paid parental leave offers 8 weeks for all parents. Birthing parents receive an additional 8 weeks for a total of 16 weeks.
