Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Executive to join our sales team as a Cardiology overlay specialist. This role will focus exclusively on selling InteleHeart, our comprehensive cardiovascular imaging platform for cardiac CT/MR and echocardiography programs. Working in partnership with geography-based account executives, you will serve as the subject matter expert for our Cardiology suite of products across multiple territories, driving new business development and supporting existing customer expansion opportunities in the cardiovascular imaging market.
This position reports to the SVP, Strategic Growth Initiatives and works in a matrix relationship with geography-based account executives across assigned territories. The role requires close collaboration with clinical specialists, marketing, product management, and customer success teams to ensure integrated go-to-market execution in cardiovascular imaging markets.
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Drive new business acquisition for the Intelerad Cardiology and Cardiovascular imaging suite of products across assigned territories in partnership with geography-based account executives
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting cardiovascular imaging programs, cardiac centers, and large healthcare organizations
- Organize product demonstrations and presentations to key stakeholders including cardiologists, cardiac radiologists, imaging directors, and IT decision-makers
- Manage complex sales cycles from initial prospect identification through contract negotiation and closure
- Collaborate with territory account executives to identify net-new, cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing customer accounts
Product Expertise & Thought Leadership
- Serve as the primary cardiology subject matter expert, maintaining deep knowledge of cardiovascular imaging workflows, registry and analytics needs, AI-powered analysis tools, and collaboration features
- Stay current on cardiovascular imaging trends, reporting requirements, cardiac CT/MR protocols, echocardiography best practices, and general enterprise imaging requirements
- Develop compelling value propositions tailored to different cardiovascular specialties and organizational sizes
- Create and deliver educational content including webinars, case studies, and industry presentations focused on cardiac imaging optimization
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key prospects and customers in cardiovascular imaging programs across multiple territories
- Partner with geography-based account executives to provide overlay support for complex cardiovascular opportunities
- Coordinate with customer success teams to ensure smooth implementation and identify expansion opportunities within cardiac service lines
- Gather customer feedback and market intelligence specific to cardiovascular imaging workflows to inform product development
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing to develop cardiology-specific sales materials, campaigns, and lead generation activities targeting cardiovascular markets
- Collaborate with product management to communicate customer requirements and cardiac imaging workflow feedback
- Partner with technical sales engineers and clinical specialists to support pre-sales activities and cardiovascular-focused demonstrations
- Coordinate with legal and finance teams to facilitate contract negotiations and deal closure for enterprise cardiovascular implementations
Qualifications
Experience & Background
- 3+ years of B2B software sales experience, preferably in cardiovascular technology, medical imaging, or healthcare IT
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas in complex healthcare environments
- Experience selling to cardiovascular programs, cardiac imaging centers, or large healthcare organizations preferred
- Understanding of cardiovascular imaging workflows, cardiac CT/MR protocols, or echocardiography operations strongly preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to engage cardiologists, cardiac radiologists, and C-level healthcare executives
- Strong consultative selling approach with ability to identify cardiovascular workflow inefficiencies and develop tailored solutions
- Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and sales productivity tools
- Ability to manage multiple complex sales cycles simultaneously across different cardiovascular markets and territories
- Strong analytical skills with experience in enterprise software sales forecasting and pipeline management
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with clinical and technical team members

Cardiovascular Imaging Expertise
- Understanding of cardiac CT and cardiac MR imaging protocols and clinical workflows
- Knowledge of echocardiography procedures and integration requirements
- Familiarity with cardiovascular AI applications and advanced cardiac measurement tools
- Awareness of enterprise imaging challenges in large healthcare organizations with distributed cardiac programs
Market Understanding
- Knowledge of cardiovascular service line economics and operational challenges
- Understanding of multi-site collaboration needs for cardiac imaging programs
- Familiarity with vendor-neutral archive requirements and cloud-based imaging solutions
- Awareness of cardiac imaging quality metrics and workflow efficiency benchmarks

The base pay for this position ranges from $100,000/year to $110,000/year within any geographic market in the USA. Intelerad is a total compensation company. First year OTE (on target earnings) for this role including base salary and commission is $200,000-220,000, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, retirement, PTO, and/or other benefits.
