Job description
Praytell is a global creative communications agency built by big ideas and brilliant people. We create timely, integrated, headline-worthy campaigns across earned, social, digital, and more. We were born in Brooklyn, New York 10 years ago and have been cooking up award-winning work ever since. Here in Australia, we’re just warming up.
Globally, we’re a team of 150+ creatives, creators, storytellers and strategists working from our offices (and homes!) across the U.S., U.K., and Australia.
We’re searching for an Account Manager who is looking to take the leap with a multi-disciplinary and fast growing team that is singularly focused on doing great work with great people.
The Gig
As Account Manager (Social Media & Special Projects), you will be:
- Living and breathing social media, you’ll have your finger firmly on the pulse of the latest trends in earned attention, industry best practice and brands taking social to the next level, translating this knowledge into actionable insights, recommendations and programs for our ambitious partners.
- Working with global and emerging brands across our portfolio, which includes travel and tourism, lifestyle and wellness, retail, tech/entertainment, and fashion. You’ll have a deep understanding of the Australian media landscape, who’s making waves and who will be next, and have a well tuned taste and cultural radar that you can apply to our client’s brands.
- Collaborating closely with senior leaders to support various client programs, taking the lead on elevating client social media programs by providing senior client and internal counsel, creative concepting, community management and the management of social media accounts and tools.
- Not afraid to shake up the status quo, you are a bold creative thinker who sees social as more than just channels and vanity metrics, but a way for brands to build genuine cultural cache and drive real business results - short term and long.
- You understand the role of social media in the broader marketing mix and can champion in it as part of integrated PR and Marketing thinking.
- Supporting low-fi content production and editing for client socials, or managing external teams for larger scale production efforts.
- You’re an excellent writer with a knack for nailing brand TOV’s and sometimes even coming up with your own.
- Leveraging your passion for social to supercharge influencer and creator partnerships, from driving influencer and creator strategy to helping ID the latest and greatest and working with them to deliver exceptional content.
- Driving client communications on social project strategy, status and deliverables, building trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Bringing your unique perspective and bright ideas to creative brainstorms, and energy and optimism to problem solving big and small.
- Being a motivated self-starter is key. While you’ll be fully integrated with Praytell’s national team, this role will remain remote from Sydney until our local office opens in early 2026. After that, we’ll shift to a hybrid model, working from the new office two days a week.
Why join Praytell Australia?
- We’re a global agency that’s just warming up in Australia. We work under one global P&L – which means access to world-class thinking, tech and tools, global insights and networking, along with the mandate and ambition to build something uniquely Australian (and awesome) championed by our growing local team.
- Creative isn’t just a department here. We’re constantly looking for ways to improve the way we work, challenge the status quo, and leave the industry a little better than we found it. That culminates in our global DEI initiatives, including our inaugural Praytell Intownships program here in Australia.
- We work hard to foster a thoroughly flexible working environment which culminates in our “flexi Friday” schedule (ask us about this, we’ll happily share more!)
- With offices across the U.S., U.K. and Australia, as well as many sister agencies across our Project Worldwide network, there are opportunities for global collaboration and immersion – including our personal favourite, Camp Praytell (last year, we headed to Nashville, Tennessee for our company offsite).
- We have a flexible time off policy which includes 20 days annual leave per year, in addition to Christmas to New Year’s Day as gifted holidays. Need more? Let’s talk.
- Parental leave benefits and flexible return to work arrangements that we’re proud of.
- Access to our employee assistance program, which includes mental health support and counselor access for you and your family.
