Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Prior experience with health care billing required (1-2 Years)
- Prior bookkeeping/accounting experience required (1-2 Years)
Responsibilities
- Maintains current account status of receivables by handling patient invoicing, cash/check application, and solicitation of payment on overdue accounts
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned accounts, reviewing Accounts Receivable Billing Checklist, alerting management of problems/issues as well as weekly/monthly reports on aging status
- Assuming the responsibility of receiving and sorting incoming payments with attention to credibility
- Managing the status of accounts and balances and identify inconsistencies
- Issuing and posting bills, receipts and invoices
- Updating accounts receivable database with new accounts or missed payments
