Job description
We’re looking for a friendly, detail-oriented, and professional Answering Service Representative to handle inbound calls for a variety of small businesses. You’ll act as the first point of contact—answering calls, taking messages, scheduling appointments, and transferring calls as needed. This is a remote role with flexible scheduling options.
Pay Structure This role is 100% pay-per-minute of active call time. You will be compensated based on the number of minutes you are actively on calls, not by the hour.
- Pay Rate: $0.20 – $0.40 per minute
- Billing occurs only during live call time (not waiting time or idle time)
- Payout Frequency: Weekly via Wise
Your rate will be determined based on experience, performance, reliability, and language skills. Performance reviews and rate increases are available after 90 days of consistent high-quality work.
Responsibilities
Answer incoming calls in a warm, professional manner
Follow provided scripts and client instructions
Take accurate messages and deliver via email, SMS, or CRM
Transfer calls to appropriate departments or contacts
Use scheduling software (Calendly, Google Calendar, etc.) to book appointments
Document call summaries and notes in CRM
Handle multiple clients with professionalism and discretion
Maintain confidentiality and data security
Fluent English speaker with neutral accent
Fast and reliable internet (minimum 10 Mbps)
Quiet work environment with headset and backup power/internet
Comfortable using VoIP, CRM, and basic computer apps
Ability to multitask and manage calls for multiple clients
Great written and verbal communication skills
Typing speed of at least 45 WPM
Night differential pay
Weekend or holiday incentives
Performance-based raises after 90 days
