About the Role
The Associate Corporate Counsel - AudioEye Legal Defense will play a key role in a dynamic hybrid position that blends corporate legal work with support of AudioEyeโs legal support program, AudioEye Assurance. This is an ideal opportunity for an early-career attorney to deepen their expertise in corporate law while gaining hands-on experience with program operations in a customer-facing, tech-forward environment.
This role offers unique exposure to legal issues at the intersection of technology, accessibility, and compliance, providing a broader scope than traditional in-house roles.
How youโll Contribute:
AudioEye Legal Defense Program (60%)
- Serve as a key point of contact for legal claim reviews and responses related to digital accessibility.
- Review and analyze potential legal claims directed at AudioEye clients
- Collaborate with legal, product, and engineering teams to assess claims and respond to customer questions
- Lead customer legal support calls with AudioEye customers, discussing claim resolution and litigation strategies
- Maintain knowledge of evolving digital accessibility laws and regulations (ADA, WCAG, Section 508, etc.)
- Support internal stakeholders as a primary point of contact for legal support program questions
- Propose and help implement process enhancements (e.g., claim evaluation prompt improvements, template iteration)
Corporate Counsel (40%)
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including service contracts, partnership agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and vendor agreements
- Assist with regulatory compliance matters
- Conduct legal research on corporate law, commercial law, and regulatory issues
- Support intellectual property matters including trademark filings
Who you are:
- 1-4 years of relevant legal experience (law firm, in-house, or government)
- Juris Doctorate
- Active bar admission in any U.S. jurisdiction where you will be working remotely
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong cross-functional partner with the ability to support cross-team execution with Sales, Product, and Engineering
