You will work closely with the PMO to implement scalable project management processes, ensure tool alignment with enterprise governance, and support a consistent user experience across projects and portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:

- Create, configure, and maintain custom workflows, projects, boards, issue types, screen schemes, and fields to support evolving PMO needs.
- Manage and support the installation and configuration of Atlassian add-ons
Support PMO Standards & Governance
- Align Jira and Confluence configurations with standardized project lifecycle processes defined by the PMO (e.g., stage gates, risk logs, RAID tracking, templates).
- Support the PMO in automating project reporting, dashboards, and portfolio tracking tools to enable data-driven governance and decision-making.
- Work with the PMO team to document system changes and produce user-friendly guides for templates and usage standards.
User Support & Training
- Provide technical support to users, troubleshoot issues, and manage system requests via defined workflows or ticketing tools.
- Develop and deliver training materials, onboarding sessions, and knowledge articles for project managers and teams using Atlassian tools.
- Promote best practices in tool usage and help enforce adoption of PMO-defined workflows and structures.
Process Improvement & Tool Optimization
- Continuously evaluate the Atlassian ecosystem for efficiency gains, recommending configuration changes or third-party apps to improve usability and performance.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities using native Jira functionality or tools like Automation for Jira and ScriptRunner.
- Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders on tool integration initiatives and enterprise-wide rollouts.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Jira and Confluence Administrator, preferably in a medium to large enterprise environment.
- Solid understanding of project management principles and how they map into Jira workflows and governance models.
- Proficient in Jira Query Language (JQL), automation rules, custom dashboards, and permission schemes.
- Strong documentation skills with the ability to translate technical configurations into user-facing guides and standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with PMO leaders, project managers, and technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Atlassian certifications (e.g., ACP-100: Jira Administrator, ACP-120: Jira Cloud Admin).
- Experience with plugins such as ScriptRunner, BigPicture, Structure, and Tempo.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), SAFe, or hybrid methodologies.
- Exposure to Jira Align, Service Management (JSM), or enterprise portfolio tools is a plus.
