We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Accountant with experience in the Promotional Products Industry preferred. This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, tracking vendor and customer transactions, and supporting overall financial health through accurate record-keeping and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments
Reconcile bank, credit card, and merchant accounts on a regular basis
Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable including vendor billing and client invoicing
Support the Sales and Order Processing teams with job costing, margin analysis, and pricing support
Monitor and track customer deposits and payments for promotional orders
Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting
Process payroll and ensure compliance with applicable tax and labor laws
Work with external CPA or tax advisor to support end-of-year tax preparation
Assist in inventory tracking and reconciliation (if applicable)
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and industry regulations
Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant, ideally within the promotional, print, marketing, or merchandising industry
Familiarity with industry-specific tools like SAGE, ESP, Commonsku is a plus
Requirements:
Advanced skills in Excel and experience with cloud-based accounting platforms
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms. QuickBooks preferred.
Payment platform such as Stripe
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent organizational, analytical, and time-management skills
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional Teams
Comfortable working with U.S.-based teams and in US time zone
Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Own equipment and wired internet with backup (Ryzen 3/i3 with 8GB RAM/ minimum of 30 mbps)
Can work full time, long term, and contractual set up
