About Valatam

We started in 2016 to connect U.S. and Canadian businesses with full-time remote Virtual Assistants (VAs) from Latin America. We help companies streamline their operations and support growth by providing dedicated VAs.

Our VAs can handle tasks in operations, administration, marketing, customer service, executive assistance, sales support, and social media. Our client process involves defining your business needs, selecting candidates, interviewing preferred profiles, and then starting the placement.

All our VAs are bilingual and college-educated. They go through a 9-step recruitment and vetting process. They usually work around the Eastern Time Zone, matching U.S. and Canadian business hours. We serve various industries, including Marketing & Advertising, Interior Design & Architecture, Construction Supply & Distribution, Logistics & Transportation, Staffing & Recruitment, and Law Firms.

We began with a small team in Venezuela and now source talent from seven other Latin American countries: Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and El Salvador. We serve clients throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Team & Culture

We are a remote-first organization, and our team members live in many different Latin American countries, creating a multicultural environment. We look for professionals who are fluent in written and spoken English (C1/C2), are university seniors or college graduates, and have an energetic, friendly, and motivated attitude.

We expect candidates to seek career stability and growth. They should have strong communication and problem-solving skills, and experience with Google Suite and other digital tools. Our application process includes two interview rounds and a one-month paid trial period. During the trial, new hires receive training in common client tasks, and we assess their skills to ensure they meet our high-quality standards and have the right soft skills.

Benefits & Perks

We offer competitive USD salaries. Specific rates depend on the position, your work experience, and skills (for example, starting from US$672/month, or hourly rates equivalent to USD $696–$1288/month for full-time projects).

Our benefits include annual pay increments, and many clients offer discretionary bonuses. We provide 7 U.S. federal holidays as paid time off for full-time placements, plus 4 additional paid PTO days (most clients offer more).

You’ll also get a monthly medical insurance stipend after an induction period, birthday and anniversary bonuses, and a gym/wellness allowance. We offer unlimited online fitness classes, invitations to annual Christmas parties and other gatherings, full paid training, and dedicated support. Sales roles may also include performance-based commissions.
