Job Description
We are looking for a highly accurate and dependable Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial operations across our multi-unit business, which includes a brewery, restaurant, and direct-to-consumer (DTC) distribution.
In this role, you’ll handle payroll, accounts payable and receivable, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and monthly reporting. You’ll also support financial models and reporting efforts during a leadership transition, working closely with our outgoing finance lead. The ideal candidate is diligent, adaptable, and comfortable working across diverse business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing
- Manage and process payroll accurately and on schedule across all business units
- Ensure compliance with tax, labor, and reporting requirements
Accounts Receivable & Invoicing
- Generate, track, and reconcile customer invoices
- Monitor AR aging and follow up on outstanding payments
Accounts Payable Oversight
- Process vendor bills, manage payment schedules, and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organized and accurate AP records
Bookkeeping & Account Reconciliations
- Maintain accurate general ledger and journal entries
- Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations
- Assist with monthly and year-end closings
Monthly Management Reporting
- Prepare monthly financial reports for leadership
- Support variance analysis and financial insights across business units
Financial Model Support
- Assist with updating and maintaining key finance models and internal reporting templates.
Cross-Unit Financial Coordination
- Work across our brewery, restaurant, and DTC teams to gather data, align on expenses, and ensure accurate reporting
3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a small-to-medium-sized business
Experience supporting multi-unit businesses (e.g., food & beverage, hospitality, consumer products)
Familiarity with month-end close processes and management reporting
Exposure to dynamic, multi-entity or high-volume environments
Proficiency in bookkeeping/accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
Experience with payroll platforms (e.g., Gusto, ADP, Paychex)
Knowledge of AR/AP systems and invoice tracking tools
Comfortable working with reporting tools like Excel, Google Sheets, or BI dashboards
Screenshot/time tracking tools required for this role (as part of our workflow compliance)
