Job Description : Business Analyst (BA) – Cloud Data Platform
About the Role:
Location: Remote
Experience: 4-6 Years
Primary Skillset:
- Business Analysis expertise in cloud-based data platforms
- SQL
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements
- Collaborate with Azure Data Engineers and architects to translate business needs into scalable cloud-based data solutions
- Conduct detailed analysis and support design decisions across data integration, transformation, and storage layers
- Assist in defining and validating data quality rules and governance processes
- Drive requirement sessions and ensure traceability throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage timelines, risks, and dependencies across multiple priorities and projects
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2+ years in Azure Data Engineering projects
Good to know:
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Databricks
- Azure SQL Database
- Other Azure data services
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Familiarity with ETL pipelines, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across business and technical teams
- Understanding of data governance and data quality best practices
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to other cloud platforms
- Familiarity with modern data engineering tools and frameworks
- SQL
