We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales / Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team. You’ll be at the forefront of driving revenue growth and building strong relationships with clients in the ingredient sourcing business. Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in a Sales / Business Development role.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales growth and closing deals.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional education in business administration is a plus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools (e.g., Zoominfo, Oracle Netsuite CRM).
  • Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Results-driven and proactive approach to work.
  • Must be able to work in Australian Eastern Standard time zone (AEST).
  • Must have his own work equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Lead BDM in the fast-paced business of the ingredient industry, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth and expanding our client’s customer base.

  • You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, managing leads, and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders to achieve sales growth.
  • Lead sales team in prospecting, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales frameworks to drive revenue growth and sales.
  • Identify key decision-makers and build strong relationships with potential customers.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to optimize the sales process and ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Utilize CRM software to track leads, manage pipeline, and report on sales performance.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and market developments to identify new

business opportunities.

Order Processing:

  • Receive orders and promptly verify order information, pricing, and terms.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., logistics, finance) to ensure timely order fulfillment.

Manage inbound customer leads:

  • Assist customers regarding order status, product information, and general inquiries.
  • Work closely with the company Head of Growth and our offshore ingredient sourcing teams to close orders and long-term supply agreements.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Work closely with LDR resource and Sourcing Team to ensure leads and opportunities are being managed and closed and that deals are tracked inside the CRM.

Sales Team Support:

  • Undertake administrative tasks, such as preparing sales proposals and quotations.
  • Using tools such as Zoominfo Marketing OS, Engage, Oracle Netsuite CRM and more, to manage the customer through their journey.
  • Coordinate and schedule sales meetings, conferences, and appointments.

Communication:

  • Liaise with other key departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration for a great customer experience.
  • Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and customers to gather necessary information or resolve issues.

Reporting:

  • Generate and update management with sales reports that capture our key metrics and KPI data
  • Provide regular team updates on sales pipeline and client forecasts.

Documentation and Filing:

  • Maintain organised and up-to-date files for sales documents, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with record-keeping and documentation requirements.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Sales Revenue and Profit generated in line with the business objectives and overall sales growth targets.
  • New Business Development measured through opportunities presented and realised that have generated a strong ROI.
  • Sales Qualified Leads (SQL) Conversion Rate: Measure the percentage of SQLs that are successfully converted into closed deals.
  • Pipeline Contribution: Track the contribution to the overall sales pipeline by monitoring the number of qualified opportunities generated.
  • Meeting and Call Activity: Monitor the number of meetings and calls to engage with prospects and move them through the sales funnel.
  • Sales Cycle Length: Track the average time it takes to close deals from initial contact to conversion.
  • Lead Response Time: Monitor the speed at which we respond to incoming leads to ensure timely follow-up and engagement.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Gather feedback from closed deals to assess customer satisfaction levels and the impact on customer relationships.
  • Lead Time to Conversion: Decrease the average time it takes for a lead to move through the sales funnel and become a sale.
  • ROI on Lead Generation: Increase the return on investment for various lead generation campaigns.
