What you’ll do:

  • Team Management: Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing, collaborative, and autonomous data science team with 10 to 14 people.
  • Strategic Leadership: Define and lead the short-, mid-, and long-term strategy for Data Science, ensuring alignment with company goals and acting as a senior technical reference.
  • Solution Delivery: Oversee the development and deployment of scalable and business-relevant machine learning and AI models.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product, operations, and leadership to prioritize and deliver impactful data-driven solutions.
  • Practice Excellence: Promote continuous improvement through reusability, automation, and model monitoring across data science workflows.
  • Innovation: Stay up to date with emerging technologies and bring innovative tools and methodologies into team practices.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or any quantitative field; Master’s or PhD strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading data science teams. Capable of fostering a healthy team culture with strong people management skills.
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques and experimentation frameworks, with experience applying them to real-world problems such as personalization, optimization, or forecasting.
  • Expertise in Python and PySpark for data manipulation, modeling, and scalable production workflows.
  • Solid experience in architecting and optimizing data processing workflows using Databricks, Azure, and Spark.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, version control (e.g., GitHub), and automation tools to support reliable and scalable machine learning operations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in dynamic environments.
  • Advanced or fluent in English and experienced working in global, cross-functional teams.
  • Nice to have: Experience with portfolio strategies (e.g., recommendation techniques and audience management), and prior exposure to innovation environments or emerging technologies such as GenAI.
