Position Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Product Manager with extensive hardware and machinery background to shape the strategic direction of our client’s product portfolio by bridging customer requirements with organizational objectives. In this pivotal role within the product team, you will spearhead the creation of comprehensive product roadmaps, converting market intelligence into practical solutions that advance the industrial machinery landscape. Your collaboration with the Director of Product and various cross-functional teams will be essential in delivering outstanding products that transform industry standards.
Role Responsibilities:
Market Analysis & Customer Intelligence
- Develop comprehensive business requirements and product specifications based on customer insights
- Conduct customer site visits and industry research to understand market needs and competitive landscape
Strategic Product Development & Management
- Create product positioning strategies, competitive analysis, and pricing recommendations
- Oversee complete product lifecycle from concept through launch and ongoing support
- Manage major product initiatives annually spanning product improvements, new developments, and strategic partnerships
Cross-Functional Leadership & Technical Coordination
- Lead cross-functional projects that align with company strategic goals
- Develop product interaction maps and present business cases to secure executive approval for new initiatives
- Partner with Engineering, Sales, Installation, and Customer Support teams to drive product success
Work Environment
Remote work capability
25% travel requirements for onsite collaboration at St. Cloud, MN headquarters and customer engagements
Engineering background with ability to understand and work with complex technical products
Strong technical product knowledge and product lifecycle management expertise
Hardware/machinery product management experience with highly technical products (CNC machines, industrial equipment, or similar)
Minimum 5+ years in product management, preferably within manufacturing technology or cutting tool technologies
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with an additional qualification in Business Management or Marketing being an advantage
Willingness to engage in difficult conversations and drive results through influence
Experience in stone cutting, CNC manufacturing, precision machinery, or related industrial equipment industries
Team player mentality with collaborative approach to problem-solving
Excellent communication skills and ability to ask challenging questions

Salary Range: $85,000 - $150,000 annually (based on experience level)
