Architecture and stack
Our core systems are built with Ruby on Rails, ensuring reliability and scalability. Python powers our machine-learning initiatives. The stack includes a large-scale web application, several smaller services, and mobile apps for both Android and iOS.
What we’re looking for
A Commerce Solutions Engineer who’ll be responsible for delivering advanced technical implementations for Dext Commerce users where needs go beyond what the product natively supports.
In addition to building custom solutions, they lead the on-boarding of new users, especially where technical configuration or integration is required, and support ongoing complex technical requests throughout the customer lifecycle.
What you’ll do
Core Responsibilities
- Configure and manage custom account mappings and advanced Commerce settings tailored to client needs
- Act as a product owner for specific workflows or features within Dext Commerce, driving enhancements and prioritizing customer impact
- Proactively identify, triage, and escalate bugs; coordinate across Product and Engineering for resolution and customer communication
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and retention through technical support and advocacy
- Serve as a strategic liaison between clients, Sales, and Product teams to align product delivery with real-world business requirements
2025 Objectives & Targets
- Launch self-service mappings to reduce on-boarding time and improve customer autonomy
- Improve customer education and documentation, empowering users to fully utilize Dext Commerce features
- Deliver internal enablement initiatives to up-skill teams on Commerce-specific workflows, updated UI, and revised processes
- Contribute to scalable product architecture by supporting the rollout of high-impact features that reduce manual effort and increase efficiency
How performance will be measured
Client & Partner Satisfaction
- Feedback from partners and clients gathered through CSAT scores, post-implementation surveys, or other qualitative channels to assess impact and satisfaction.
Public Advocacy & Reputation
- Engagement from power users encouraged to leave positive, high-quality reviews on public platforms (e.g., G2, Trustpilot), reflecting product confidence and user trust.
Impactful Feature Adoption & Implementation Success
- Measurable contribution to the successful release and adoption of Commerce features, particularly those tied to on-boarding, configuration, or customer workflows, driven through collaborative research and cross-functional execution.
What we’re looking for
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in client-facing or cross-functional contexts
- Solid logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in managing complex configurations or data flows
- Familiarity with Java and JavaScript is a plus (used in scripting, debugging, or API integration)
Knowledge
- Prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial systems is highly desirable
- Foundational understanding of software development principles, including data structures and system design concepts
- Knowledge of SaaS platforms and integrations (e.g., e-commerce channels, accounting tools) is a bonus
