About this position:

We are seeking a Community Builder to establish and nurture a thriving network of future industry builders in Malaysia. In this pivotal role, you’ll bring together visionary entrepreneurs, foster collaboration, and support their journey of self-discovery and venture creation. If you’re passionate about building communities, inspiring connections, and challenging the status quo in entrepreneurship, this is your chance to make a lasting impact.

Responsibilities

  1. Community Development: Build and grow the Malaysia Reapra Community through innovative strategies and organic engagement.
  2. Founder Sourcing: Co-develop and implement systems to identify and connect with high-potential founders in Malaysia and other markets.
  3. Events & Outreach: Plan and execute events, meetings, and activities that foster meaningful connections.
  4. Content & Collateral: Develop marketing and PR strategies to promote Reapra’s mission and community.
  5. Cross-Team Collaboration: Coordinate with teams across the Reapra organisation to align efforts and achieve shared goals.
  6. Advocacy & Alignment: Represent the Community within the organization to ensure its needs align with Reapra’s vision and values.
  7. Social Media & Engagement: Manage social media platforms to increase visibility, engagement, and awareness of the community.

  • High-energy, high-initiative, and highly committed individual.
  • Passion for Entrepreneurship: Strong motivation to promote and support a new, non-traditional approach to entrepreneurship.
  • Community Building Expertise: Proven experience creating and growing communities from the ground up, both online and offline.
  • Independent & Adaptable: Ability to work autonomously in a flexible, remote setting while managing multiple priorities.
  • Creative Thinker: A knack for experimenting with innovative strategies to engage and inspire.
  • Empathy & Communication: Exceptional listening and communication skills, with a high level of emotional intelligence. This includes a very high level of empathy and listening especially when managing very personal information alongside business considerations.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Experience working with diverse groups and understanding different cultural dynamics.
