We are seeking a strategic and experienced Compliance Architect to lead our Compliance team. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the practice operates efficiently, meets its objectives, and delivers exceptional client services. As a key member of the company’s management team, the Managing Architect will guide architectural aspects of projects and initiatives, aligning them with organizational goals and maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • The ideal candidate will bring deep industry knowledge, strong leadership, and a proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Proven expertise in developing and standardizing service offerings, creating strategic roadmaps, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional communication and client relationship management skills are essential, as is the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Demonstrate history of effectiveness in organizational leadership, team building, coaching, and strategic planning.
  • Ability to work in compliance frameworks such as CMMC, NIST, CIS, and GDPR is required.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Compliance Center, Azure Policy, and related tools to manage regulatory requirements
  • Experience conducting audits, implementing controls, and communicating compliance risks across diverse business units is essential.
  • Strategic planning and roadmap development
  • Deep knowledge of compliance frameworks (CMMC, NIST, CIS, GDPR)
  • Microsoft Compliance Center and Azure Policy expertise
  • Client relationship management and engagement as well as Project Management and execution along with risk assessment and mitigation
  • Effective ability to clearly communicate across executive and operational levels internally and with clients
  • Business development and proposal support
  • Continuous improvement and innovation mindset

Professional Licenses/Certifications: at least three (3) active Industry certifications associated with the core and related technologies or equivalent industry experience

Education & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred in a technology-related field, and at least five (5) years of experience in the core technology area
  • Ten (10) years of experience within the technology field with at least five (5) years of experience with the core and related technologies.
  • Project management-related certification or equivalent experience
  • Compliance Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory compliance frameworks relevant to the organization’s industry, such as CMMC, NIST, CIS, and others.
  • Oversee data protection and information security measures to safeguard the organization’s data integrity.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Compliance Center, Compliance Manager, and other related capabilities for managing and addressing compliance requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft capabilities supporting Compliance within Azure Workloads (e.g., Azure Policy, Azure Blueprints) and other related services to more effectively integrate those capabilities into compliant solutions for customers.
  • Understand the global regulatory landscape, stay updated on changes in compliance requirements, and continuously monitor compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in implementing controls and measures to ensure regulatory compliance within Microsoft environments.
  • Skill in conducting compliance audits, assessments, and gap analyses to identify areas for improvement.
  • Capability to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure adherence to compliance requirements and legal standards such as GDPR.
  • Skill in assessing and managing compliance-related risks, including developing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Exceptional skill in communicating compliance-related risks to business leadership and stakeholders from multiple verticals (e.g., executive, legal, HR, manufacturing)
  • Effective client engagement skills to understand organizational and compliance needs and provide strategic guidance.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills to guide the practice team and foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Salaries for a Compliance Architect at Planet Technologies range from $150,000 and $200,000. Several factors will impact final pay offered to a successful candidate including but not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, clearance level, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, training, etc.
