Volume Nine is on the hunt for a content strategist and copywriter who’s equal parts creative, curious, and obsessed with building smart, strategic content that helps brands grow.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll be the go-to person for content strategy on several client accounts. You’re not managing clients directly (no weekly reporting or juggling 12 Zooms), but you are talking to them regularly — getting to the heart of what they need, then making the magic happen.
That means:
- Creating and owning editorial calendars
- Interviewing clients and turning their ideas into actionable content strategies
- Writing original content when needed — from website copy to blog posts to social blurbs
- Creating detailed briefs that make freelancers’ lives (and yours) easier
- Editing and QA’ing content for quality, voice, clarity, and SEO best practices
- Managing freelance writers — assigning projects, reviewing drafts, and keeping things on track
- Staying curious about what’s working (and what’s not) through content performance analysis
- Keeping your finger on the pulse of content trends, SEO updates, and what AI can do for us next
- Continuously refining and improving how we do content

1+ years in content strategy, copywriting, or content marketing
Strong writing and editing chops, plus a strategic brain
Comfortable interviewing clients and owning your work
Familiarity with WordPress, Google Docs, and (bonus!) AI writing tools
Able to juggle multiple projects and freelancers without dropping the ball
An analytical mindset with a love for figuring out what’s working
Not afraid to test, improve, and evolve content processes
$65,000/year salary
100% remote work (you just need to be in the U.S.)
