Thanks for stopping by — we’re Volume Nine, and we’re on the hunt for a driven New Business superstart who’s ready to help us close deals and grow our digital marketing agency. If you love a challenge, have a knack for connecting with people, and know your way around digital strategy, let’s talk.

What you’ll be doing

Your #1 goal? Help us close deals with awesome clients. You’ll be the first person they talk to—someone who strongly represents our values and can quickly understand their goals, ask smart questions, recommend solutions, and quarterback the process from pitch to signed contract. We have a steady stream of inbound leads for you to work with, so you don’t have to focus on business development or outbound lead generation unless the pipeline drastically changes. We absolutely do not do cold calling, so you’ll never be asked to smile and dial.

That means:

  • Leading discovery calls to uncover needs and build trust.
  • Presenting and positioning our services in a way that connects with their goals.
  • Running point on the sales process, working solo or pulling in team members when needed.
  • Creating proposals, delivering pitches, and closing the deal.
  • Staying in touch throughout the process—and after—so that the handoff to the account team is seamless.
  • Using Zoho CRM to track deals, progress, and follow-ups.
  • Re-engaging past leads and helping existing clients explore new opportunities.

1. A simple, and hopefully fast, questionnaire to help us vet that you’ve read the job description & creates a speed bump for automated applications - please don’t use AI to fill that in

2. A part of the process that requires you to find and reach out to us, and to have your reachout stand out

3. A request for you to make an initial 90-day action plan & goals for yourself

4. At least 2 phone calls with our team to meet us and for us to meet you

  • Some hands-on experience in digital marketing (SEO, content, social — you don’t need to be an expert, but you get it).

  • Some B2B sales experience, ideally in an agency or services-based environment.

  • A love of learning and improving your craft —you’re curious, coachable, and not afraid to ask questions.

  • Strong communication skills and a knack for building relationships.

  • The ability to stay organized and keep the details straight while juggling multiple deals.

  • $55,000 base salary + commission (with the goal of six figures total comp)
