Requirements
Essential Expertise:
2+ years of experience designing and maintaining data pipelines and managing data stores
Experience designing data models (e.g., Star Schema, 3NF)
Proficiency in working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and ClickHouse, including query performance tuning
Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration
Strong programming skills in Python and object-oriented programming (OOP)
Proficiency with Git for version control
Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3) is a strong asset
Experience with dbt (data build tool) is a plus
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform is advantageous
Experience using Power BI or similar BI tools is a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
Willingness to learn new technologies and approaches
Open-mindedness and flexibility in adapting to changing requirements or feedback
Strong active listening skills and ability to consider different perspectives
Key Contributions:
Gather and organise raw data
Build, manage, and maintain data pipeline architecture
Assemble complex data sets that meet business needs, objectives and report on results
Identify and implement ways to enhance data quality and reliability
Identify opportunities for data acquisition
Collaborate with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues
Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL
