Requirements

Essential Expertise:

  • 2+ years of experience designing and maintaining data pipelines and managing data stores

  • Experience designing data models (e.g., Star Schema, 3NF)

  • Proficiency in working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and ClickHouse, including query performance tuning

  • Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration

  • Strong programming skills in Python and object-oriented programming (OOP)

  • Proficiency with Git for version control

  • Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3) is a strong asset

  • Experience with dbt (data build tool) is a plus

  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform is advantageous

  • Experience using Power BI or similar BI tools is a plus

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment

  • Willingness to learn new technologies and approaches

  • Open-mindedness and flexibility in adapting to changing requirements or feedback

  • Strong active listening skills and ability to consider different perspectives

Key Contributions:

  • Gather and organise raw data

  • Build, manage, and maintain data pipeline architecture

  • Assemble complex data sets that meet business needs, objectives and report on results

  • Identify and implement ways to enhance data quality and reliability

  • Identify opportunities for data acquisition

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues

  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL
