Summary
The job is for a Design Intern at Hypebeast's Media Team in Shanghai. The intern will brainstorm content and design ideas, research references, create mood boards, mock-ups, decks, and assist in creating visual assets. They must be a recent graduate or currently enrolled in a relevant field, proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, fluent in English and Mandarin, passionate about youth culture, fashion, and Hypebeast's verticals, and available to intern for 3 months.
Requirements
- A recent graduate of bachelor’s degree in art, design, visual communications, marketing, or currently enrolled in a college or university
- High proficiency in spoken and written English as well as a native speaker in Mandarin
- At least basic experience in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and other creative tools
- Be highly creative and knowledgeable in different fields of aesthetic
- Passionate about youth culture, fashion, sneakers, and other verticals covered by HYPEBEAST
- Ability to work independently and not be afraid of providing solutions when there is a problem
- Available to intern from Mon – Fri (10am to 7pm) for a 3 months period
Responsibilities
- Brainstorm relevant content and design ideas for HYPEBEAST
- Research and compile design work and content executions from around the internet and social media
- Look for suitable and inspiring references for different creative ideas
- Create mood boards, mock-ups and decks
- Assist in creating various visual assets, especially content layout designs for editorial and social channels
- Work closely with the Creative Team, the Editorial Team and the Sales Team to uphold the content standards of the HYPEBEAST brand
Preferred Qualifications
AI, Illustration, motion graphic, animation, 3D rendering knowledge is a plus
