The Role

We are seeking an innovative and strategic Director, Brand Services to join our team at Bloomerang. As a key leader in our marketing department, you will be responsible for overseeing and elevating the creative vision for our brand. This includes leading the design and development of all brand materials, from advertising to digital content, ensuring consistency across all platforms. Reporting to the VP of Brand Marketing, you will work closely to align creative and content initiatives with broader marketing strategies and brand guidelines.

This leadership role is a blend of creative visionary and operational leader and is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our business. The ideal candidate will have the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, all while ensuring the creative team produces high-quality work that is aligned with business objectives and resonant with the target audience.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the strategic direction of major creative and content initiatives, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content that exceeds expectations.
  • Conceptualize and implement innovative creative and content strategies that resonate with our target audience and elevate our brand presence.
  • Oversee the development of design concepts and ensure they align with our company’s vision, values, and marketing objectives.
  • Lead the creative design and development of a wide range of brand materials, including but not limited to advertising campaigns, thought leadership content, digital content, social media visuals, video content, website design, and more.
  • Ensure all creative work adheres to brand guidelines and maintains consistency across all channels and touchpoints.
  • Collaborate closely with the VP of Brand Marketing to translate strategic goals into compelling creative and content deliverables that support both short-term campaigns and long-term brand positioning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Customer Marketing, Demand Gen, and Brand Comms, to ensure materials effectively support overall marketing strategies and resonate with target audiences.
  • Direct and mentor a talented team of designers, content creators, and external creative partners, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the VP of Brand Marketing to define the editorial calendar and content plan, providing visibility and content governance for major content gateways such as company blog, resource center, and demand generation channels.
  • Monitor the performance of creative and content (e.g., engagement on videos, blog traffic, ad performance, etc.) to understand what resonates with our audience. Work with analytics and marketing operations teams to track KPIs and report on the success of creative campaigns.
  • Balance multiple creative and content projects at once, ensuring each is delivered on time, within budget, and meets the highest creative standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, ensuring the team remains innovative and ahead of the curve in creative design and digital content strategies.
  • Leverage generative AI tools to efficiently create high-quality content across formats—including blogs, emails, eBooks, social media graphics, and video—to enhance creative output and scale content production.
  • Direct and mentor team members on the effective, ethical, and strategic use of generative AI tools to improve content quality, accelerate workflows, and foster innovation across the brand team.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Dynamic leader with 15+ years of experience in brand or creative leadership roles, including extensive experience managing multi-disciplinary teams at high-growth companies.
  • Proven track record of scaling brands and navigating the complexities of fast-paced, high growth environments.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and a proven track record building and maintaining relationships with cross-functional partners, executives, thought-leaders, and subject matter experts across multiple teams.
  • Experience managing and mentoring a growing creative team, both internally and externally, with a focus on fostering collaboration and growth.
  • Expertise in overseeing and managing creative production from concept to final delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and brand guidelines.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities at once, ensuring high-quality outputs, adherence to deadlines, and alignment with internal client service standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate creative concepts and vision to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to think strategically while maintaining attention to detail and ensuring work aligns with marketing goals.
  • Experience developing creative and content strategies that reflect a deep understanding of impactful content that appeals to consumers and resonates with diverse audiences.
  • Agency experience is ideal, experience with mission-driven organizations is a plus.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative leadership, innovative design, and a range of project types, from various advertising mediums including video to content and thought leadership.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and familiarity with digital content creation tools.
  • Hands-on experience using generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Jasper, Midjourney, Beautiful.ai, etc.) for content ideation, creation, and optimization across written, visual, and video formats.
  • Proven ability to guide and upskill content creators in the adoption of generative AI tools to drive efficiency, maintain quality, and stay at the forefront of digital innovation.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is: $140,000 - $210,000. You may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, as well as applicable employment laws.

Location

This is a permanent, full-time, fully remote position. Employees living in Indianapolis, IN are welcome to work from our company headquarters. We do not offer Visa sponsorship or relocation assistance at this time.
