Job description

The Tie is the leading provider of information services for digital assets. We operate across three core verticals, institutional, data redistribution, and corporate access and advisory services. The Tie’s clients include hundreds of the leading traditional and crypto-native hedge funds, OTC desks, MMs, asset managers, banks, and other institutional market participants.

In addition to our data offerings, we host four annual The Tie Conferencesβ€” the most exclusive, invitation-only events for institutional leaders in crypto. These gatherings bring together fund managers, protocols, exchanges, allocators, and regulators to drive meaningful dialogue in a private and high signal environment. Unlike other events in crypto, service providers are only able to attend The Tie events via sponsorship - creating an exclusive setting for our high profile attendees.

Our flagship event, The Bridge, attracts more than 1,000 attendees annually across more than 250 unique institutions. Out East Summit, our most exclusive event, is a 3 day private retreat at a vineyard in the North Fork for 300 institutional executives. Our Innovate Series are all day institutional side conferences hosted alongside major crypto events like ETH Denver and Consensus.

The Position

Over the last two years our events business has started to explode, but we have yet to hire a full time staff member focused on commercializing sponsorship opportunities. We’re seeking a driven and dynamic Director of Event Sponsorship Sales to lead the charge inΒ  selling, scaling, and helping design sponsorship programs across our premier events.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about the intersection of crypto and capital markets, with a strong background in sponsorship sales and a desire to shape the future of high-touch industry networking.

This position is open to candidates in person in New York or remote within the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end sponsorship sales cycle for all of The Tie’s events

  • Collaborate with colleagues to build a more efficient and productive sales process; collaborate with event and marketing teams to enhance sponsor visibility and ROI

  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospective sponsors, including crypto-native companies, service providers, and token issuers

  • Work with the events team to develop tailored sponsorship packages that align with event goals and partner objectives

  • Conduct outreach, lead sales calls, deliver compelling pitches, and close deals

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing sponsors and ensure fulfillment of deliverables pre-, during, and post-event

  • Maintain all leads and deals in our Hubspot CRM; provide regular reporting on pipeline, revenue forecasts, and sponsor feedback

  • Identify new opportunities for monetization and event expansion

  • Represent The Tie at industry events and conferences as a senior ambassador of the brand

  • 5+ years of experience in sponsorship, partnerships, or B2B event sales

  • Proven track record of closing high five and six-figure sponsorship deals

  • Deep relationships across the crypto ecosystem

  • Strong understanding of institutional crypto

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Stellar communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Passion for crypto

  • Willingness to travel to The Tie and other industry events

  • Competitive compensation (salary, commission, and options)

  • $100-150K base + commission, commensurate with experience
