This role is full-time and offers home working flexibility.
Areas of responsibility
- Acting as a team leader for individual contributors (QA and Software engineers);
- Being responsible for the team’s direction, performance and outcomes;
- People and skills management;
- Fostering and advocating for Lean-Agile ways of working;
- Being Lean-Agile change agent;
- Ensuring the product’s technical excellence;
- Software and solution architecture;
- Recruitment and retention;
- Onboarding and training;
- Ensuring effective collaboration and communication with related functions.
Your future tasks will include
- Hiring, mentoring, and managing performance within the team;
- Continuously improve delivery flow by advocating and implementing Lean-Agile practices;
- Monitoring and analyzing team performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement;
- Providing regular reporting and metrics to the Head of Development to enable effective decision-making;
- Collaborating with the Head of Development, your peers and Principal Engineer to align technical and product strategies;
- Overseeing the technical and architectural design processes;
- Overseeing the technical strategy implementation;
- Tracking the system performance according to Non-Functional requirements and ensuring adherence;
- Leading internal functional and cross-functional projects to optimize the development process.
You’re going to need this to be successful in this role
- Highly self-motivated and results-oriented team player;
- 7+ years of experience in software development, QA or related areas, with at least 3 years in a leadership position (Team Lead or Engineering Manager);
- Experience in people management and leading remote, cross-functional teams;
- Good understanding of software development processes, including frontend and backend development, software testing, and CI/CD;
- Designing and implementing software solutions;
- Good understanding of the principles of building a reliable architecture;
- Experience with software development tools such as Git, Jira, and Confluence;
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Advanced level of English.
It’s nice if you also have
- Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework);
- DevOps mindset;
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker;
- Development experience in different programming languages.
